We booked all four rooms out for my partners 40th Birthday. All members of our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would highly recommend it. The hosts Tim and Helen were very friendly and helpful. My partner was very touched with his bottle of beer he was given as a birthday gift from them. We stayed in room 1 which...

I stayed for one night ( business ) and could have stayed for more. Hosts were really welcoming without being intrusive and what a fabulous building to be used as a B & B. Built in the 1700's but tastefully and sensitively decorated and furnished. My room was at the front of the building, plenty of space and the bed...

We stayed at dowgill house back in February. We were slightly nervous travelling with our four month old baby but Tim and Helen made us feel very welcome. Our room was huge and the bed massive and more comfortable than our own. Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Dowgill House is the perfect base for exploring Otley and surrounding Wharfedale -- comfortable and elegant, with spacious, immaculate rooms and all the traditional charm of a historic town house. Real Yorkshire hospitality and sustaining English breakfasts too. A rare find.

We lived in Otley until 2005 and booked into Dowgill House for two nights (12 & 13 April) for one of our return visits to catch up with some family and friends. Whilst we were aware of Dowgill House, we hadn't stayed here previously. On arrival, we were made to feel very welcome by Tim & Helen. The room was...
