Have just been for another spa day at this lovely hotel, and will be going back soon again to stay. Even though it is just up the road from where I live it is beautiful. In the woods , the facilities are ace and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A must place to go if only for Sunday...

A wonderful location set in picturesque surroundings in beautiful grounds. We booked bed breakfast and evening meal package in a mezzanine style room with downstairs seating area. The room was superbly presented, immaculately clean and lovely to walk in. It had patio doors onto a small open patio with table which was open to the grounds beside the lakeside. The...

Short 3 night break purchased through Easy break- 6 course taster meal each night with a bottle of wine on night 1 and breakfast each morning. Great price for what we got. Pleasant location. Room was small. We had one of the eco lodges which was really cute and from a smokers point of view the bedroom door out to...

First the negative: We had been to this hotel three years ago for my Sister's wedding so it holds some memories of a great occasion and because of that we had decided to book four rooms and have dinner at the hotel to celebrate a birthday (one of those mile stone birthdays). We had pre-booked the rooms and had received...

Recently stayed here for one night and definitely will not be returning. The whole place is tired & seems like "nobody cares" for what happens. Apart from the girl on check in & the 2 waitresses in the restaurant, the staff would need some retraining in dealing with people. The service in both the spa & hotel is appalling with...

If not for the actions of Management this review would not have been very good We booked a 2 nights stays and were allocated a lodge, but this initially turned out to be disappointing, with the bottle of sparkling wine as part of package being reduced to 2 "miniatures", a TV , that didn't work and a couple of other...

We stayed in one of the lodges and it was really peaceful; we heard virtually nothing outside of our room (apart from when the room next door ran their water). The staff was extremely accommodating; nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional; I had the lamb and it was cooked exactly as I liked it, as was my...

My 2 friends treated me to a spa day complete with a massage and afternoon tea! Fluffy robe included! Had our treatments first, my massage was wonderful. Then spent some time in the pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and of course the outdoor hot tub with the sun shining! After this we went for our afternoon tea, the tea was...

Stayed here a single night early September in one of the lodges with our kids, lodge was clean but looking tired. Staff on check in were friendly and helpful as were spa staff. Swimming pool water was cloudy and in need of change. All was going OK until the morning we needed to get on the road early so arrived...
