In pointer form :-

* Front desk service provider wasn't given mask. I do worry for the receptionist and myself too, especially when there are Many China tourist staying in the hotel.

* I've booked a one bedroom suite, price paid is definitely worth it for the size of the room, its spacious and I love it compared to other hotels such as first world. But house keeping is far below expectation, as I see leftover food crumbles on the sofa and many very small bugs in the room wall, so small that I didn't notice until my friend noticed it.

* Breakfast once again is fantastic compared to other hotels, but porridge is always cold and not refilled in time.

*Due to hotel location, shuttle bus service is very much needed, but service is only available once every hour and will always need to pre-book in advance best 1 day before. It's always full which causes me to be always take taxi to casino/ first world

The hotel is located a few kilometres from the main attractions ie Casino, Theme Parks, Shoppings and Major Eateries. Most of the outlets at this hotel closed by 12 midnight, so basically you would have nothing by then except for room service which is 24 hours.

I booked a 1 bedroom suite and I was pretty disappointed as it was just 2 rooms with a 2 bathrooms which one of the room was equipped with a 3 seater sofa seat and a round table. No carpets or other chairs and definitely not like any other 1 bedroom suite hotels that I have stayed. The ceiling in my room had mould and there were green fungus in the bathroom and at the balcony railings. I guess this must be due to the watery cold weather around the hotel, but if housekeeping cleans it thoroughly, these mould and fungus would not have been there.

Food there was just normal and nothing special to me - I had their Nasi Lemak Udang Galah Petai for lunch, reunion dinner at the Grand Ballroom and breakfast the next day.

Getting to the room can be quite awhile waiting for the elevators as there are many floors. You also need to change elevator if you’re going to ground floor as the room elevators will not give you access to ground floor.

I’m not sure if I will stay there again, not that I am angry with anyone, just that I don’t think the hotel facilities is up to the standard I had expected.

Dear Muzammil_MM, Thank you for your review. Please allow me to express my sincere apologies. We deeply regret the stay you had with us was not up to your expectations. The experience that you described is far from the service our team strives to provide. Kindly rest assured that we take your feedback seriously. The issues you mentioned regarding the room furnishings, room cleanliness and food quality, I have shared this with the concerned department for necessary rectification and improvement to enhance our guests' satisfaction. Meanwhile, we are having several blocks in our hotel to better serve our guests in terms of spacious rooms and designs, also to shorten the elevator waiting time, hence you might find that you will need to exchange to another block by switching to another elevator. Again, we are sorry for this disappointing experience. We do hope that in time you will give us the opportunity to regain your confidence. Best Regards, Jack Lim General Manager

Hi,

Me and my fiance stay there on 23 to 25 July 2020 booked thru booking.com.
The hotel just at the back of first world hotel around 15 minute drive .
Check in was smooth and follow SOP. To go to the room need to go 7th floor and go to other lift in another block to go 20th floor to our room.
Our room is okay and decent and the view is nice BUT balcony is DIRTY so I can't actually go to the balcony. And there's a construction ongoing in front, so not really can enjoy the view at all . Haishh..
The pool located at the 7th floor. It was supposed to be in heated pool but when we come at 5pm (due to mco there have specific opening time which is okay) the pool is cold but the staff explained kindly that the have changed the water and will take time to get warm? The bathroom it the pool need to clean cause there has bad odor.
The pool bar restaurant served delicious food and we enjoy there.
They have Enews shop at the lobby so you can get your daily essentials from there also.
Free parking.
Staff is friendly and fast reply for our enquiry.

It was okay for the 1st time but might stay at nearer to First world next time. Is quite a drive from other attractions.

It was such a bad, very bad experiences with this so called 5 star Ion Delemen Hotel in Genting. The management/owner has no integrity and just ignore emails when tried to write in (as advised by the front desk manager) for refund. Although Hotel.com (who is the agent) intervened. but the hotel management ignored their appeal on my behalf.
Booked two nights for 1xPremier Deluxe 2 Bedroom Suite paid S$1,200++ and anpther separate booking for 1x2 Bedroom Apartment paid S$580+ but was given TWO x 2 Bedroom Apartment. The difference is S$700+ for the same badly designed and decorated rooms. It is disgusting. The apartment was across the road.
The hotel service was disappointed and when I give this comment, it still make me upset: It was raining, we have 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children.
1) We were issued rooms - one not cleaned up and was filthy and another one with broken main doors.
2) We have to go back to the main building to exchange for the keys to another units. This time - one unit was stinkco with bad sewerage. The other room has poor water flow.
We were quite exhausted, so we just accepted the two units. Very disappointed that we have to keep chasing for the extra bed which we have paid. And it has to be placed in the hall as the room is very small.
I have photos of the 2 units as I have wanted to get my lawyer to write to them. But for S$700 do you think it's worth the time wasted? I have hold back my review until today, because Ion Delemen Hotel management/owner yet to reply. Totally disappointed and will definitely not recommending friends and relatives. The hotel shuttle bus was such a problem with bad time schedule and limited space, we have ended up spending more on taxi fares.

We stayed at this property in June 2022. It is a decent property with clean rooms and good views. Here are my reasons on why you should/should not stay at this property.

Should
1. Clean rooms.
2. Value for money.
3. Courteous and honest staff.
4. Frequent shuttle service to Skyworld hotel (in case you want to visit indoor/ outdoor theme parks and casinos).

Shouldnt
1. Grossly understaffed. Housekeeping does not respond when you dial their number. So no room sevice or baggage assistance while check- out.
2. Min 20 mins queue for breakfast everyday even on week days.
3. Same spread for breakfast everyday. No made to order eggs. If you want omelettes to be made from egg whites instead of the regular ones they either flatly refuse or charge you for it ( provided they have staff).
4. If you miss the shuttle then you need to pay exorbitant taxi fares ( MYR 40) to go Skyworld.

Overall, we felt that Genting overall is highly overrated. There are better places to visit. However, if you still plan to visit then stay at First World hotels and save on time and taxi fares.

The view from our room was spectacular! The room we stayed-in was very neat and clean; loved the interior and earth tone colors creating a very relaxing ambience.
There were variety of options for breakfast; from western to asian cuisines, your choice.

The weather wasn't cooperative enough but dining at Hugo in the Sky concluded our stay at Ion Delemen.
The food was better than expected, the service was awesome and price wise it wasn't impossibly expensive.

Worth the en core :)

Dear Ninzky, Thank you for sharing your wonderful stay experience with us. It's really lovely to hear that our hotel is just what you needed! Your compliments will surely be shared with the team as they help us continue to strive to upkeep our standards and serve you better in the near future. Meanwhile, the hotel view is also depending on the weather condition at Genting Highlands, in fact it offers a contrasting weather and the view from other states in Malaysia, hence you could enjoy the goodness from the surrounding itself. Kindly be reminded that not to forget to bring your warm sweater! Thank you for being a fan of our property and we look forward to seeing you again just as much! Sincerely, Mr. Tee General Manager

Facilities are quite good.
Cleanliness is average.
Breakfast is average.
The gym needs to be cleaned regularly as there were no personnel at all in charge.

Location actually is not too far from Resorts World Genting but the road is very curvy and goes up & and down, which makes going there by foot nearly impossible as it will take long time and waste too much energy.

The hotel provides a shuttle bus for every hour with extra cost MYR 8 / person and has to be booked in advance due to limited seats.
Taxi will cost MYR 30 - 40 for one way.

It's very hard to request bottled water. Nobody answered the call, both receptionist and housekeeping, especially housekeeping.
There was a day I needed to go down to the receptionist just to ask bottled water to be sent to my room.
There was a day they ran out of bottled water.
The receptionist, Crystal, said only 4 bottles are provided for free for our 3 bedrooms unit. It's ridiculous because she was the only one who said that. Other staff members never mentioned that extra bottled water is provided with extra costs.

The view surrounding the hotel is good.
Sometimes, it was very foggy and it was a very wonderful experience.

Overall , it didn't feel like a 5 star hotel.
More like a 3 star serviced apartment.

The only reason it’s 1 star is because there’s no option for 0 star.
1. Cheap frozen food served at breakfast buffet.
2. Bathroom ceiling full of watermarks, small puddles on the bathroom floor from the leakage.
3. Our so called king-sized bed were actually 2 single beds placed together. 4. Horrible lift service, slow, and inefficient. We had to wait a solid 15 minutes once, and we had no choice but to get in the lift with the janitor pushing a trolley full of garbage.
5. Requested for a bathrobe and some blankets, took the staff almost 40 minutes to deliver it to our rooms

Overall an unpleasant experience. Would not recommend, not worth the money.

Booked for almost rm500/night with breakfast. My booking deluxe room with large bed was confirmed, fully paid n non refundable. But, they told us there is no large bed available n will upgrade us to 2 bedroom room. Told him its not necessary cz i have 1 toddler n infant that should be close, need to sleep with us in a same room n wanna stick to deluxe room n im fine with twin bed. Like hubs could sleep with tod, n i'll sleep with the baby. but this man was stubborn n insisted to upgrade. His face when tellingg me bout this upgrading is like he did me a favor, BUT the upgraded room in tower 2 was a nightmare, very2 dirty with mold in windows n toilet, dusty bed, sticky floor n messy curtain! Called the reception n requested to change the room. Another staff (woman) helped us in changing the room n we got the original room booking deluxe n i was surprise that the TWIN BED is actually side by side to become a large bed! This room located in Tower 4 was wayyyyyy better than the upgraded 2 bedroom unit in Tower 2. Mind u this hotel have many Towers n walk required. we had to change the lift twice, walked for about 15-20mins with our bags, our toddler n baby in a stroller to reach the room! the reception not even tell us or offer us that the buggy is available! We've got to know there is buggy available from the bellboy who took our bags n bring us to the room in tower 4. I guess all the hotel rooms shown in web/booking portal is in Tower 4 because this tower is cleaner than tower 2 n there's a word "Hotel" in this tower's lift. We didnt go for breakfast because with kids, it'll took a lot of efforts n we're sure the bfast is as bad as the room. So save ur money n dont think abt this place. You may see the photo with my son in it is the deluxe room in tower 4 which is a lot cleaner, tidier n an actual hotel vibe compared to a scam 2 bedroom unit. The moldy window is in the room with king bed where we had to sleep if they didnt change the room. Would u let ur kids to breath n sleep in this kind of room? Is this a 5* hotel? Is this worth to spend 4++?

I planned to visit two days in Genting Highlands, so I stayed at this hotel as its one of the nearest 5 stars hotel to Genting Highlands theme Park (though I rate this hotel as only 2-3 stars). I booked two bedroom suite. Normally I book airport transfers from the hotel I stay in, but they don't have any such facility. Also the hotel taxi contact is too expensive compared to others, so please check before you book. They have shuttle to First World Hotel every hour, they charge MYR 5 per person and you have to book in advance, if you want taxi its MYR 40. Check in was ok, but we were told WIFI is not working and they don't know how much it will take to fix it. When we checked in the phone wasn't working, we had to call 2-3 times to get attended to our request. Finally that evening WIFI started working in the hotel but in our room both WIFI and telephone was still not working. Finally they decided to move to another room and it was much smaller two bedrooms suite then earlier. When I asked them about the smaller rooms they mentioned its same category suite and no response as it was much smaller. Restaurant breakfast menu is ok, not much vegan or vegetarian options. I would suggest if you want to visit Genting Highlands theme park, stay in hotel within the park, if its not available, stay in Hotel somewhere near the cable car station. Hotel staff was trying there best to make us comfortable but the facilities were not good. Be prepared for long walk to your room as rooms are in different towers.
