It is located at gohtong Jaya where is 3km away from awana skyway. The room is clean but the room look old, I think some renovation should be done if want to continue to stay competitive.
Buffet Breakfast is provided but with less choices.
Room rate is reasonable

Hotel Seri Malaysia, Genting Highlands, Malaysia
Best suited for families with own transport and willing to cut some corners by compromising a bit on the distance from the Genting highland.
As with any other Genting hotels, the rates are seasonal here with all the customary peaks and super-peaks. But being at down-hill, the rates are comparatively less than the hotels at top with a super-peak period rate of 200MYR for a standard room.

Hotel's located amidst a non-descript shopping complex at Gohtong Jaya. That said rooms are neat, well maintained and comes with all standard amenities.
Housekeeping standards are good and if ever you end up finding something not in order, the staff's willingness to help negates for it.
The room windows open to the adjacent plots and bushes - definitely dissappointing for those in the lookout for deep valleys or misty mountain views.
Reception desk and hotel staff are helpful in putting up to our needs and check-in was a breeze despite the peak crowds. Breakfast is typical continental spread with some Malay
dishes and altogether making it an average to good one.
Cable car station is 2 minutes away and so is the Genting strawberry farm. All in all, fits the the bill for those who'd want to enjoy Genting yet stay away from the overrated hotels on top.

I went to Seri Malaysia for a weekend getaway to enjoy the cold weather with a comfy bed. The rooms are big, they have TV with very few channels, and they have hot water (u'll need to wait 15mins after switching on the heater) in a nutshell this place needs a refurbishment badly. As the room smelled of cigarettes, the lift had a funky smell, breakfast was rather pathetic, front desk not a really friendly bunch. But what u gotta do on a holiday weekend with other hotels being full. Mind you, this is not a budget hotel so I expected something a little bit better.

This hotel is about 25 minute walking distant from the skyway genting. The hotel is facing the road. the service that i experience for 2 night stay at this hotel is good. The staff do their best to ensure our stay at their hotel with good experience even though the is no night event around the hotel only lots of chinese restaurant, 7eleven and india malay restaurant. But the morning view is very nice..We book superior room with two single bed. We were suprise to see our room is so big with large window and facing the rood. We can see genting light at night from the window. The room provide aircon, fan, fridge, tv has a good astro channel for adult and kids. The toilet only provide shower and no bath. The shower heater sometime not functioning well. Sometime we get very cool water eventhough the heater is turn on. The restaurant is big with limited selection but stil ok. This place is very quite with nice weather. We not recommend this hotel to people who love night events.

I was staying here with my family due to we can not get other hotel on top of Genting Island because of peak seasons. The room was very dirty, a lot of cob webb on the ceiling. Bathroom was really scary with alot of crack and the bath curtain looks like "thousand years"never changed. Mouldy look on it. Bath towels that they gave already torn everywhere like "biten by the dog". In fact, we need to call the housekeeping twice for that towels. The Front desk staff was not really helpful on providing the information for tourist like us. They seem very busy with their stuff. The owner/ management should need to take action to - at least renovate the room. In a hotelier perspective (like me) this is a 1 star rated hotel ISO 3 star rated like they claimed.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Nearby food stall, strawberry farm and cable car.

Stayed for 1 night and never again.

This hotel has a very deceptive front. The lobby and waiting area looked decent and clean, probably due to a recent refurbishment. Looked new. Made me hope that the reviews on TripAdvisor had been grossly exaggerated. That is, until I got to the floor where my room was. The hotel corridor had a musty smell coming out from the old floor carpet. Walls looked worn and discolored.

When I got to my room, I finally realized what a sad state it really was, as described on TripAdvisor. Bed linen and towels had stains on them. Pillows were mushy. Carpet looked very dirty and smelled funny. Then again, the whole room had a funky old smell.

The bathroom held more surprises. There were gecko feces on the toilet lid. Two cockroaches were gallivanting on the sink. One more dead on the floor. Water heater weren't functioning when I had to take a shower past midnight. That meant that I had to take a freezing cold shower, past midnight, up in the highlands.

Also the room didn't seem to be soundproofed well. By early morning, you could hear other customers yelling along the corridor, trucks and motorbikes whizzing by, and I think the room service trolley too, which I could hear clunking by louder and louder past my room.

If I had paid less than RM 100 for a room, I would've expected conditions like this. But the room came at RM 200. Bottom line: Never again.

This hotel is situated at Goh Tong Jaya. Its half way down from Genting Highlands. The surroundings are just small restaurants, chinese seafoods and shops. Nothing much to do there unless you have a car and all the Genting Highland hotels are full. The lobby is nice. The room is huge. Stayed in a twin room. Iron and ironing board is located outside of the room. So im not sure if u can request for one in the room. Staff are friendly. Only drawback is the toilet. Its kinda small.

We had a bad experience here. It started as early when we checked in at 3 PM:

1. Checked In - We got a room that was not ready yet, They didn't apologize but gave another room.
2. Evening - The room has no towels. While this is a small trivial issue, but i think this is kind of basic room cleaning.
3. Showering - After a whole day outside, we wanted to shower and while i was able to take a good hot shower, my wife got a rude shock. The shower had no hot water. We asked the reception and we were just disappointed with the answer she gave: "Maintenance crew is only available tomorrow". Are they serious about running a hotel? It's freezing cold here.
4. They gave us another room and again there was no hot shower! Only just a few minutes of hot shower only!
5. We asked the reception again and he was explaining he was just alone and there's nobody around to attend to this maintenance issue. How on earth are they running this hotel! I have stayed in guesthouses which has better service than this.
6. Anyway, he gave us another room and this time it was all OK though my wife was pissed off since she had to change rooms while she was showering.

All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel except when there's only no choice available. If this was a RM100 rate I wouldn't mind but the rate was RM200++ which I assume would have better service. So..Seri Malaysia please buck up.

Booked a family room and it was horrible. Comes with 1 queen and 1 single bed. The rooms are old and mouldy. The smell of the pillows were terrible. It smelled like it was sprayed with the cheapest perfume. When removed the sheet because of the bad smell, the condition of the pillow was black and smelly. The toilet was also dirty and old. The hotel does not even provide toilet rug to wipe ur leg. The breakfast however was acceptable. Will never stay in this hotel ever again
