My family booked 1 Suite and 3 Superior Rooms at Crockfords, Genting, for a pre-New Year getaway.
Our endless thanks to Edmund Chin, who (despite the thronging hill top crowd), attended to us throughout our stay with a memorable tailor-made service experience. Travelling with a a troupe of kids from ages 4 to 17 years of age. It is notable feat for any hotel in itself. We can't express the gratitude to Edmund and the Crockfords staff, for ensuring that our halal food requirements are met from breakfast to dinner without hesitation and limitation.
The rooms in itself is spotlessly clean, with the interior design exuding luxury; without taking attention away an experience of dream like "familiar" comfort. The well thought out room layout allows us to acclimatise quickly upon arrival; from the unique pleasant scent and turn down service "Hot Chocolate Drinks", it is one of the rare occasions where the family looked forward to heading back to the room after a long day exploring endless number of Genting entertainment and retail stops.
The hotel is annexed to First World hotel. Though being situated in the centre of Genting's offerings, the lobby is bubbled with calmness and privacy. Very much welcomed after touring with the kids throughout the theme park and shopping centres.
Fantastic effort by Edmund and the Crockfords team on keeping the service and hospitality quality standard high. Definitely befitting the Crockfords brand name. Looking forward to our next visit...soon.

My family and I checked into Crockfords slightly after noon on 3 Aug, although it is not without hiccup it is understandable given the peak outflow of guests rushing to check out.
Edmund was onsite to ensure things go as smoothly as possible and to which I appreciate the attention he accorded us as I'm traveling with children and elderly, room was progressively ready for us before official check in time.
Separately Kelvin has been pretty responsive and able to help sort out our bookings for 3 junior suites and went through the details of each room layout prior to our arrival, it wasn't easy as we would need a room big enough to fit the family and making sure it's close/connected where possible.
Where I think there is room for improvement would be the housekeeping team. The macarons on the house was a good gesture, but the housekeeping team left the plate untouched the next day after their housekeeping round while the turndown service came to our room at 9pm consecutively at both nights of our stay, I would expect this to be done over the dinner time say 6-7pm and not when the kids are about to be put to bed. We requested for a separate in room slipper for the kid as well as a change of kettle, there may have been a mixed up and the housekeeping crew came twice for each task.
Breakfast was a lil underwhelming as well to the point the family has explored the idea if it is better to just eat out and skip the complimentary breakfast the next day. I may have expected too much given the impeccable check in process but it's just not right when you're being served cold complimentary bread and stale anchovies for the nasi lemak.
All in, Crockfords would be my accomodation of choice if I'm to visit Genting again but where it would help make the experience better is if there's a good spot for guests to go for a stroll and enjoy the weather as well as a better breakfast to start the day.

First time staying in this hotel. Really impressed with the level of service and finer service such as breakfast is only served in the room, there’s a teddy bear tied with balloons in the room, a goodie bag when we check out (comes with a tiny version of the bigger teddy bear in the room) and lastly, the water bottles + tiny boxes of tic tac with a drive home safely card by the car concierge placed inside our car (complimentary car valet). The in room breakfast (we chose nasi lemak lobster rendang and lobster omelette) were really delicious. Befitting the service, would have been great if mini bar is complimentary too! Have certainly set the benchmark for our return on our next visit to Genting.

My family and I stayed overnight in the superior room and we have to stay, the experience and service was tip top from the start to the end.
Pros: 1. All staff provided very good service from the moment we got our of our car till the end of our trip, from the butler to the registration to the staff who drove the buggy to the concierge to the valet. 2. Our superior room was very nice and comfy and there was even a christmas tree inside the room which my kids loved. The Mountain View in front of the bed was breathtaking. The bathroom was huge and spacious and water pressure was good. There was a little hiccup to the sink but the plumber came quickly to fix it. The electronic systems controlling the room’s lights and curtains were so convenient. 3. We loved the little touches made by the hotel and the staff that made our stay such a good experience, from the welcome drinks to the complimentary wine, tea time and fruits in the room to the toy kits that the hotel prepared for my kids inside the room to the teddy bear with helium balloons placed on the bed. Everything from the welcome letter to the breakfast menu in the room was personalized. The valet even left items (water bottles, mints etc) in our car for our journey home. After we checked out, we got farewell gifts from the hotel. 4. Excellent turn down service at night, when we returned to our room after a long night, the room was made up and cozily lighted and the butler (Neeka) had set up a flask of hot chocolate for my kids and some light dessert for my husband and I. 5. Ala Carte Breakfast was inside the room and was generally yummy.
Cons: 1. The ala carte breakfast did not have any menu for my kids and initially the hotel only prepared 2 portions for my husband and I. Suggestion to also have a kids menu as families who come with kids would naturally like to have this selection, similar to how we go for buffet breakfast in other hotels and our young kids (under 5) get to eat foc along with us.
We love this place and hope to be back soon!

Had a short 2 night stat at crockfords genting during this cmco period and we are not able to travel out of pahang. We did not expect the level of service that we received at this fine establishment. The rooms were great, so was the complementary fruit basket, in room breakfast, wine , teddy bears , children's play sets and more that i fail to remember. It is said that , its the people that make the difference, even more so at this establishment. Where all the staff from the moment we stepped out of the car we were warmly greeted by everyone from the jockeys , to the housekeeping staff , we truly felt special. Specific shout out to Melly and Lee Fong, from the executive lounge. This pair went above and beyond the call of duty to make our experience here overwhelming. So much so that we spent both our nights entertainment solely at the lounge without needing to leave the hotel for drinks (of which we had initially planned to do). We just wanted to have our complimentary drinks and be on our way. But stayed on till the lounge closed on both nights. The venue was truly top shelf. Cant wait to come again. Crockfords, you have outdone yourself.

We stayed in the superior room last year for wife's birthday celebration. As we couldn't travel oversea, it was one of the best staycation ever. So this year we decided to revisit together with the kids.
It was a long overdue break, but it's the perfect timing to celebrate wedding anniversary + CNY + Valentine altogether.
The package includes valet parking, upon arrival we were greeted by staff helping us with unloading of luggage and welcome drink at the lobby. The lobby was beautifully renovated, extended out too by the way. Our last visit, the check in area was located pretty deep in after the automated door.
Special thanks to Duty Manager, Mr Jega for the wonderful Valentine decoration. It was informed very last min but Mr Jega and the team managed to prepare a little surprise for my wife.
We booked the Mahjong Suite this time and it certainly didn't disappoint us. The room is huge with over 1,000sf, spacious, 3 TVs!! Carefully designed with attention to details (automated curtain opening/closing with button, tissue on the side of sofa just to name a few).
It feels very homely especially after applying the CNY theme decoration. The automated mahjong is one of the highlights in the room too, we have to make sure our friends are coming before we book the room else it would be weird to play with 2 pax (perhaps hotel can consider having 2 bedroom for the next phase of upgrade for bigger family)
Water pressure is superb, turning hot in no time too. Good size bath tub, just nice for a long day out for relaxation.
We have opted for in room breakfast dining. There wasn't much choices for vegetarian unfortunately and if my memory doesn't fail me, it's the same menu per last year. I have suggested to Mr Jega perhaps can look into new menu or adding more vegetarian option or rotation of menu so that those who are staying for more than 2 nights would enjoy the variety. Hopefully the hotel would give it a serious thought.
Other complimentary item given includes a bottle of red wine, tiger doll (special for CNY), Crockford bear family (big & small), children goodies bag, black & white pouch in the washroom, macarons served in the evening.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay. And I have no doubt Crockford would be our chosen hotel again for our next visit.

We booked a little bit late just 2 hours before check in, but they manage to make it so perfect they even print out my name on the welcome card and also on the breakfast menu. Starting from the reception to the butlers, they all give a great service and great experience. When we wake up on the next day we being amazed of the view from out bed. Without asking, they even give us prayers matt as they know we are muslim family. We really appreciate the efforts. We will definitely staying again if we come back to Genting.

The hotel seem to be lacking of a 5 star status. I find that the reception is not really appropriately positioned i.e. rather remote from the entrance. Its quite a walking distance to the entrance of the hotel.
The rooms is not well house-kept as I can find cigarette buds and stickers around the cabinet areas. Indeed a surprised as items in the fridge is not complimentary in view of the high room cost and as compared to MBS-Spore. Its quite a walking distance to the lifts in getting to the rooms.
The promotional package of meals (breakfast and dinner) is rather unsuitable especially the dinner meal. Sitting arrangement in the dinning area is just next to the smoking Casino area. If the people do their smoking, the smoke gets into the dinning seating area as it is not blocked from the Casino.
The reception area attendants are not well trained as they gave us the wrong information to access the room wifi. We had to call repeatedly to get it right.
Parking at the hotel is not condusive. The sign location are not well placed and from the carpark to the hotel reception is a great distance, especially with small children accompanying.
However, the good part is the staff i.e. house-keeping and the dinning area are very polite and tactful.

pretty much the pinnacle in the industry, including a free valet service if you book online, every single one of the workers are warm and attentive to your every needs.
the room came with many complimentary things, a white wine bottle which has a high rating in vivino, a fruit platter, and high tea presented in a christmas tree platter. the room itself came with a christmas tree which was very thoughtful. it contains a one touch system that controls all lights and curtains, an impressive touch to an already exuberant room. when evening came, i was presented with a turndown set which includes more deserts, chocolate, lip balms and a pillow spray for a good nights sleep. expect many things to be printed with your name, a really nice personal touch. this hotel is like a advent calendar, uncovering cool things every corner you see, a standout feature from the rest.
the service is deserving of a review itself. when we were brought to the entry way, a buggy service drives you to the lobby, as it is quite separated from the mall which i think is a good thing as it feels as if it’s a retreat from the crowd in the mall. we were brought to the high tea area (you are pretty much escorted everywhere, and most things are done behind your back for you so you do not need to worry) and it was exemplary, offering great service from Melly and Zhi Wei (those were the names i remembered but all were extremely helpful) you can pretty much have any hotel related questions answered if you ask. next morning, room service came with lobster rendang nasi lemak, scallop and prawns noodle complete with tea, coffee, juices and pastries. when i left, i was given a souvenir gift bag containing nicely packed mangoes, tic tacs, a yogurt bar, rebina, a really cute crockfords bear and another wax sealed letter complete with my name printed.
that said, i believe this is truly deserving of the title given by forbes. i definitely recommend you to this hotel. crockfords genting has heighten my standards for all other hotels.

The deluxe room cannot fit with extra bed.. the room layout make there is no space for extra bed. I dont know if you want to take the deluxe or suite room..
Greetings, extra bed is applicable for all room type with an additional charge of RM180 per bed. However, would recommend to book for extra room to ensure a more comfortable stay.
