The room quite big for a small family like us, all clean and tidy but there was an ants did some project on the balcony then come inside along the sofa. The process of check in and check out was so smooth and the receptionist was so friendly. Breakfast not so bad too, a set of western breakfast (sausage/ toast/ fries/ corn/ coleslaw) with hot coffee. If still not full, there is a lot of shop nearby but just make sure use a transportation. Overall, my family and I happy with the stay.

The resort is nice, tidy, clean and the hospitality is excellent. Close to the small town of Genting Highland which makes it easy to get necessities and entertainment. The peaceful and comfortable conditions and the stunning surrounding scenery. Very suitable for couples or families and close to Kuala Lumpur as well as various transportation facilities to get here.

checked into kl airport and went straight to this hotel in genting as i didnt get any bookings for a hotel right inside the theme park. the hotel is good if you are a regular visitor to genting and want to get away from the theme park crowd. its right in the forest and has an amazing view. i got a river side apartment and something i had not bargained for as it turned out to be a mini bunglow with 4 bedrooms and for my family of my wife and two kids it was quite large. the outside look was shabby and the rooms were not too great either. the walls were damp and paint had pelled off. it has not emenities at all inside and one can get stranded here if he isnt carrying adequate things to eat and survive. the view from the room was amazing thou. we learnt the hard way that if you main reason to visit genting is the theme park then please dont stay anywhere else but in the hotels which house the theme park. it took us 2 hours every day one way during peak season time in december to get to the theme park which also includes a sky cable for 25 mins and a 15 min drive from the hotel to reach the cable car station. extremely painful to do this morning and evening. over all didnt like the hotel at all and the toilets and rooms were smelly and just didnt seem right., over all didnt try any of the facilities as i didnt see any. if u are a single family totally avoid this place. if you are quite a few families willing to cook then take one of the villas it would work out cheaper. and if you arnt getting any bookings in genting and are forced to stay here then take a room and dont try any of the villa apartments. not worth it for sure. only reason to go there is peace and its nice and quite.

The resort looks neat and beautiful where is surrounded by vegetation. When the first time we drive to this resort, we were scared of where is quite an outskirt location. But not too bad is not that deep into drive-in is just about 5 min from that small little town. In fact, is a really convenient location which near to those shops from the little town They take the SOP seriously where they did maintain the social distancing, scan our My Sejahtera apps, and provide us the hand sanitizer. We were greeted by the guard who are very friendly and dedicated. The room in GRV was the great one, very huge like a suite room with wide space, beautiful view and the shower heater was working perfectly with high pressure. The receptionist by the name of Fazila (who work in this property for 3 years plus) who handle our check-in and check-out process was efficient with a courtesy maner and helpful. We will never forget of Fazila's hospitality that she demonstrated. Keep up the good work Fazila and her team.

Stay here for team building. Booked 2d1n apartments with meeting room rental, team building, camp fire and 5meals. No pillow case, toilet roll and towel in hotel, and light spoilt in toilet. Request for the things missed around 4pm,being told that the laundry is not ready yet for the pillow case and towel. Stains and hairs on pillow, bedsheet quilt. The worst things is about the management(a staff called Azhar). He is the person that liaise with us on our booking. Meeting held on 9.30am, but he never update hotel on our backdrop wording request and the serving time of the morning tea. Lunch is. 5/6 Malay dish with fruits and syrup, but the contract mentioned BUFFET(with a detail list of the foods provided, the list show salad, dish, fruits, desserts and drinks). They mentioned that no buffet lunch is provided due to too less participants, but charge us buffet price. After lunch, we are expecting our team building activity in the afternoon and fire camp at night (as discussed with Azhar earlier),but nothing had been performed. He mentioned that we not confirm with him (but we confirmed) and therefore no team building conductor nor fire camp available. Further more, it is a rainy day, and we can't perform the team building activity at the originally destinated outdoor place. As discussed earlier, he mentioned that we can perform team building activity indoor (evening&knight) if rain, but now he said that the indoor room had been fully booked. So we could only perform it in the meeting room that we used in the morning, or club house, which contain table tennis, swimming pool, etc. On the second day morning, we planned to play table tennis there, but no table tennis pats available, after we requested. The club house is not well maintained.
Overall, strongly not recommended to perform team building activity for this so called "3star resort" (should be much more lower) unless you want to get cheated or regret.

The hotel management should improve on lots of things. The room was spacious but musty. Apart from that the staff was really rude and lacked of courtesy at all. I called for room service but was informed kitchen was closed for dinner eventhough the room service pamphlets the room clearly stated that the service was from 7.30am until 10.00 pm. The staff manning the phone was really rude. I highly suggest the hotel management to give the staff more training on hospitality. I give the hotel 2 stars only and that they did not even deserve that two star.

Most of the reviews for this hotel are for the Genting Highlands resort, which is 10km away (and there is no shuttle to there from Genting View Resort). The GVR is near the entrance of the Genting Resort corridor and is a very confusing maze of apartments and buildings. The resort itself is just one building, but they time share/lease many apartments that are very close by. I knew most of this going in, but it was part of our time share and we were only going to be there for 2 days so it was ok. The main building is old and not well maintained (as with many buildings in extremely humid areas). They do have free wifi in the lobby so that was a plus. The check in was fine. We had to take a shuttle over to our room as it was in an apartment that was not far away by distance, but difficult to get to due to narrow and hilly roads and almost zero lighting at night. The apartment on the surface wasn't too bad. Nice tile floors, 3 bedroom with dining table and sitting area. A strange thing (that is somewhat common in these areas I was told) was that in the hallway bathroom, the toilet is INSIDE of the shower.
I'm not gonna use a toilet that is water from me just showering all over it. The "kitchen" we had had one burner and a fridge that was about 4 feet tall. We did get daily free coffee (instant) as well. There is no entertainment to speak of in the room. No internet access, and while we had a TV, it didn't have cable so we only got 4 channels (badly) and none of them were in a language we could understand (and one channel seemed to be devoted to showing ceremonial meetings with the King of Thailand). There aren't enough facilities inside of the apartment to prepare a meal (unless you brought all your own cooking utensils) and there is no grocery nearby. To get back to the main building to have dinner, we had to call the shuttle again. They don't get a lot of guests up here during the week (it's a weekend getaway area) so the restaurant wasn't fully stocked (we had to change our order 2 times as they didn't have ingredients for things we had ordered).

There are other buildings in the area that might be nicer, but since I didn't visit all of them I'm not sure. There is also a clubhouse where there might be more amenities but we didn't go (you have to take the shuttle there too)

My parent's timeshare refunded part of their payment before we even went, a telling sign even they knew it wasn't that great a place.

We only stayed 2 days as we went to Singapore afterwards. We did go back to Malaysia again (we had flown into Malaysia) but we opted not to come back here both due to the fact there is nothing to do (unless you take a cab up to the Genting Highlands which will cost about 30 ringgits) and the fact it is completely in the opposite direction of the airport (which in itself is about 50 km from KL as it is.

The service was good as the employees did try hard, but overall I would not come back to this place. The owners really need to modernize or upgrade some of the facilities before I would come back. For people wanting to stay in this area, if you wanted complete isolation in the middle of a busy area, this is the place.

Just it back from a trip to Genting View Resort. This resort is way far from the Genting Entertainment Centre. To go there you first have to sit the shuttle van, which they may charge you RM 25 if you don't follow their predetermined schedule. Then you have to take the cable car right up for RM6 per person. However, their shuttle only goes to the cable car 3 times a day. The worst thing was when we called the hotel for the shuttle at their schedule, they said I had to pay! Only after pointing out to them that I was following their schedule, only did they relent. What a rip off! The service was bad, location to food was terrible , if you don't have transport you only have the option if their cafe. Accommodation was moldy and sparse, we had the apartments which were far off from the lobby, and you had to climb two hills to get to the lobby/cafe. All in all it was a horrible experience, mostly caused by rude and arrogant staff at the front desk.

When I was travelling to this place, so many areas in this hotel made me so scary...this place really need a lot of renovation or might be have to rebuild. I don't feel so comfort while staying here, the place like a horror place. Not clean and for me, really not a place to stay with. I can't stand with my room and the toilet very old style. The lifts so old, and I certainly not coming back to this place except if they make renovation about this place. The staffs, most of them not really helpful, not good service and not friendly. I felt like a lost stranger here. Please, for the management, make things better now...you really need a new building for this.

I think I understand why a lot of negative comments stated about this Resort. Most of the units available are old. We booked the 1 bedroom apartment which is quite far from the reception area. Actually the hotel has offered us a new unit but we refused as we plan to use kitchenette. Checked in at the apartment, we found that the unit was quite old and dusty. Luckily the hotel reception was very kind to allow us to move to a new unit which is just opposite the reception area.

We were quite surprised to see the new unit (studio) was very modern and well organized. The room was spacious with king size bed, sofa set and balcony (pix attached). Tv comes with variety of channels including Fox Movie, Starsports and many more. And with the price we paid RM214, it is more than worth it. We will definitely be back again.

The rooms are actually owned by different people, so it depends on the owner what he equips it with of if he allows you to cook. Better ask the person you booked with the inclusions of the package. Hope I helped you in some way. Thanks; Annie
