Detailed Reviews
I booked a deluxe room in Tower 2 during the peak period (year end). Understand that tower 1 is the oldest followed by tower 2 and tower 3. There are all beside one another. The hotel was stated to be a non-smoking hotel however when we reached the hotel, we noted that only 3 levels were non-smoking. Check in time was only after 3pm. We paid RM5 extra to check in at 1pm. We were initially given a room on the 8th floor, facing another building. The room was double bed despite the request of a queen sized bed. The whole room was gloomy because it was facing inwards. There is a fan (there is no aircon because the air was quite cooling). We went down to try our luck at the first two counters which were dedicated for change in rooms. They were able to accommodate us to another room with queen sized bed but on a smoking level 6th. That room was so much better because its facing outwards towards the mountain view. The only problem was it was very near the lift area. the walls are so thin that we can hear people conversation along the corridors and nextdoor. There were construction in the early morning as well which really disrupt our sleep. Luckily we only stayed two nights. Thats enough. There was also no Wifi in the room. Wifi is only available in the lobby but its RM15/hour i think. Just go to starbucks or highline for their free wifi with every purchase. The facilities in the room is also lacking - there was no toothbrush. The soap dispenser is also a 3 in 1 soap. i recommend you bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Bring your toothbrush, toothpaste and bed room slippers as well. The only plus point is that its very walkable to the SkyCasino and the shopping/ f&b district. I would say in general, it is very easy to walk aroung Genting because everything is very interlinked. Checkout was a breeze with the self check out counter. Check out is at 11am but if you check out by 12pm, you wont get charged extra. Wouldnt recommend a stay more than 2 nights.

I got to stay here for free thanks to the Genting World membership programme. The hotel is one of the Genting World hotel chain located in upper part of Genting Highland. It has more than 7k rooms (the largest hotel in the world by number of rooms). Check in and check out is so easy- you can use the machine to take/return the key. If you arrived after midnight(12am), you can check in at the counter. Room is pretty basic-tv and safe is provided, no kettle (you can take the water(hot/cold) at the water dispenser outside your room near the lift). Bathroom is equipped with soap and shower cap- no toothbrush.
>>The only setback is you need to pay for the parking. It is RM 18 per day which is quite expensive.

Took the Y5 Triple room for 2 nights. Was assigned to Tower 3 which is the furthest tower from the lobby. Checked in around 5pm and was horrible as the queues were badly managed and people were jumping queues. Service was also very slow and the staff were not friendly. Lifts up to the room was slow and stuffy with not much ventilation. Room was basic. Only towels, a shower cap and shower gel provided. Would suggest to bring your own shower gel as the one provided looks weird with 2 different colors. If you did not bring toothbrush, you can purchase from the vending machine near the lobby or you can purchase from the many shops around (there is a Watsons nearby too). There are 2 sinks in the room (one next to the shower area, and one next to the toilet bowl. The one next to the shower area in our room had plumbing issues and water does not drain off. Wifi connectivity in the room was intermittent and the tv had very bad reception (as good as not having one). You can take drinking water (both hot and cold) from the water dispenser along the rooms corridor. There is a small cafe on the ground floor but its is always very crowded especially in the morning. Suggest to walk further where there are a ton of food choices.

Stated “world’s largest hotel” but it’s world’s smallest hotel. Only for sleeping. Floors are very sticky and whole room is dirty. Walls are not sound proof at all, can hear neighbour talking. Housekeepers in the morning drag drawers around in every room (whole morning hearing that noise). Drunk man running around ringing room bells including mine. Due to RMCO one lift can only fit 4 pax, we took about 1 hour to get a lift to the 1st floor. A friend couldn’t wait he took the emergency staircase, reached 1st floor to find out exit door is locked, he had to run up again and wait for the lift. How can an emergency door be locked? I wouldn’t even rate 1 star if I didn’t have to.

The hotel is huge, the rooms are very small & since it has some 1700 odd rooms the checkinn process is very slow. we had to actually wait for almost 1hour & 30mins just to complete the checkinn process. It also has an amusement park within the hotel.Since it has so many rooms & when the occupancy of the hotel is high the elevator was always full whenever we wanted to go down. We have had to wait for the elevator for 1hour & 15mins & since the elevator didn't arrive on time we missed our breakfast at the hotel.
When we complained the same at the reception they didn't bother to listen our matter or even attend it.
the staff is very rude.
They don't have the bell boy to take the luggage, they can rent u the trolley to get the luggage to your room for which u have to pay & get the trolley to the room on your own.
Hence it was our worst experience ever.

This hotel holds the Guinness Book Record for hotel with most rooms, however what it does not say it those rooms are terrible. Starting from our check in experience which was awful and took 1.5 hours( it took us similar time to reach Genting from KUL airport) to rooms with no wifi (not even paid) and no room service, its hard to understand how this place can be termed as a hotel. As soon as you exit the glittering exteriors and take the elevators to go to your room, the place gives you a feeling of a dormitory with tiny match box sized rooms. The term deluxe room is a joke and there is nothing deluxe about the room. We would absolutely skip this place for our visit next time.

First World Hotel in Genting Highlands holds the impressive title of being the largest hotel in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. However, beyond its size, the hotel falls short in many areas.
One major drawback is the lack of service. The check-in process is automated, with machines replacing human interaction. Unfortunately, several of these machines were not working during my stay, causing inconvenience and delays. Additionally, the lobby was crowded with scalpers attempting to sell rooms, creating a chaotic and unwelcoming atmosphere.
The rooms themselves were disappointingly small, with cramped spaces that made it difficult to even fit comfortably in the toilet. The shower experience was equally uncomfortable. Moreover, basic amenities such as high-quality soap and shampoo were absent, leaving guests to make do with subpar options.
Another notable flaw is the absence of room service, as well as the lack of free access to a gym, sauna, or pool. These amenities, which are commonly expected in hotels, were noticeably missing at First World Hotel.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect was the cleanliness of the accommodations. The sheets did not have the fresh scent or feel of being properly laundered, which was quite off-putting. Furthermore, the towels provided were of lower quality compared to even budget motels.
However, one positive aspect worth mentioning is the hotel's location within the larger Resorts World Genting complex. This entertainment and leisure destination offers a variety of attractions and activities, providing some respite from the disappointing experience at First World Hotel.
Overall, while First World Hotel may hold a record for its size, it fails to deliver in terms of service, room quality, amenities, and cleanliness. Unless you specifically desire to be within the Resorts World Genting complex, I would recommend exploring other accommodation options in Genting Highlands for a more satisfying stay.

Largest hotel of 7351 rooms available at the top of mountain. A nice place to chill and relax for families, couples and friends. Casino is available for some relaxation activity too. Sky avenue plaza is very well maintain and new, fill with abundances of restaurants, cafes, shopping, clubbing and gamings to choose from. First world hotel is just beside Sky Avenue plaza, very near and convenient. Overall hotel setup and service is average but still a hotel not to be missed! I stayed 10966 room, tower 3, for 2nights with my wife, my friends stay in other 2 rooms on the same floor.

We went as a family of 13: adults, teenagers, and the elderly. I would say that the location of this hotel is its best feature; it's so easy to find food, there's a Starbucks in front, and it's easy to get to the theme park, avenue, casino, and so on.
The rooms are quite old and poorly maintained. Despite the fact that there is a lot of non-smoking signage, I saw a lot of people smoking in the lobby area, literally INSIDE the hotel's lobby area, and the hotel's staff ignored this.
One of our group members requested an extra blanket and was willing to pay any additional fees, but after 30 minutes we received a sheet of bedsheet instead of the blanket and the hotel's staff stated that they were out of blankets, could you believe that?
We had booked for two nights and went out on our second day with a 'Do Not Disturb' sign in front of all rooms, but the housekeeper came into one of our rooms, the elderly's room, and asked us to pack our belongings for check out. After the problem was resolved, the staff did not even apologize to us.
The other positive point, there was also a kiosk machine for self-check out. We didn't have to waste time waiting in a super long queue to speak with staff about checking out; we simply dropped the keys inside the machine and left.
To provide better service, hotel management should pay more attention to staff manpower.

The cable car will be a nice and scenic option to the top of the theme park.
It's faster than travelling by road up the mountain by car
First world hotel is having triple rooms and rooms for 4 also . You can book these rooms and kids can stay with you.
You can check in at 3.00 am.
From my short stay, I didn’t meet anything that would make me say yes.
Still, it’s over 7,000+ rooms I doubt even a single housekeeper has been to them all 😒
