Spent a week at this fantastic hotel. It's beach location is second to none, the staff are absolutely amazing and the food is second to none. If thinking about going to Kenya and the coast then do yourself a favour and book to stay here. The big game fishing is well worth a go and the guys who take you... More

The view of the ocean from my room was absolutely amazing! Eating breakfast while watching the waves was absolutely amazing! I can not wait to return to this place. It's the perfect getaway even if it's for a weekend!

Hemingways Watamu made me fall in love with Watamu. Not sure I can holiday in Mombasa again after this. The weather was perfect, food was great (and so much), loved the dolphin watching, snorkeling, catch-of-the-day eating. I'm not one to run around when holidaying but there was plenty to do here. The manager was also very pleasant.

We stayed in Hemingways in April, 2016. Our room was located next to the ocean hence we enjoyed an amazing view. Their view is breathtaking. The hotel has two beautiful pools (though the pool water is salty) with a restaurant and a bar well placed near the pools. The rooms are excellent and quite modern. Mind you, I passed by... More

It's great for a wedding the immaculate gardens and beach provide for an ideal photo shoot. The rooms are very modern which is... More

I traveled to Watamu for the first time alone and i didn't know where to stay. The taxi driver recommended Hemingway's to me and he wasn't wrong! I was on business trip and my days went on well. The rooms are incredible, service quality and staff very hardworking. Beautiful experience.

We stayed in Hemingways in January 2015. Renovated part of the hotel was closed, so they accommodated us in older rooms, which were built in 1990's. You pay for 5 star hotel and your room is like from 1990's. It's ridiculous. Service was OK, but nothing good. Shower pressure wasn't there. Food was terrible, we complained about it to manager... Hemingway's is a beautiful resort! Some of the most friendly staff I have ever experienced and the Manager was really helpful. If I could rate again I would. Lovely place to visit. Will definitely be back!

Aah... Hemingways! Love, love, love. The service, the class, the new wing, the attention to detail, the FOOD! We visited as a group of 4 adults and 3 toddlers. Nothing asked was too much for the Hemingways staff. Ultra efficient, polite and accommodating. The rooms in the new wings were lovely and the salt water pools a welcome change. The... More

I finally got an opportunity to visit Hemingways after 15 years of attempts. Thanks to Kenya Tourism Board hosting me on the niche media Famil. Hemingways is an iconic resort that I like to place in the same type of category as the Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe. Our host at the resort explained that there are major renovations and...
