After checking in at reception a middle-aged lady took us to our room which was at the end of an unkempt pathand on entering we were faced with a large dark and somewhat dingy room. The bathroom off was modern but the floor was not clean. On trying to use the internet we found it impossible to get in as...

This hotel is mid-range and houses one of my two favouirite restaurants in this part of France. I've been several times and love the fact that the food quality, service and ambiance are assured. You can always park right outside as well. There is a small anteroom where you can have cocktails or retreat for a quiet coffee after dinner....

Nice small hotel, friendly staff, broken wifi. Furnishings and room itself were quite outdated, but likely the best accommodations in the area. Restaurant was excellent with friendly staff and a wide variety to choose from on the cheese cart, but that's another review (the restaurant itself) entirely. The hotel was adequate for a night passing between Bordeaux and Paris, but...

We had a large room with good bathroom and comfortable bed. The decoration in the bathroom was eclectic - weir and wonderful colour scheme! The restaurant next door to the hotel is not cheap and didn't quite work for us but the menu is varied and different from the standard fare. The garage is 200 metres away but parking in...

We come back year after year. It is a lovely small hotel - beautiful rooms, each with its own garden and outside table and chairs. The restaurant is high-quality, and the hotel breakfast superb. We recommend it very highly.

Slightly shabby and old-fashioned, but best in the region. Nice rooms, good shower, good air-co. Restaurant fine, deserves its Michelin star, but only just. Love the cats, but for some people this would be a no-no.

We stayed here as a variation on our normal choice of Bourges and the Michelin starred restaurant of the same name. The rooms were quite small, sort of dampish, at the back of the hotel in a converted building with small terraces outside. It was mid May so quite chilly at night. The garage was in another street.

We stayed here for 3 days to Celebrate my husbands birds day. Where welcomed by the Chef and his wife. They remembered us from a event in Cahors. This hotel and restaurant was one of the best we have been at . Every body spoiled us and the service was top. The food the best and the Chef even asked...

A most peculiar place that really demands you leave behind your preconceptions of what a hotel/restaurant should be and just let yourself be immersed in the history and ambience of the place (much is made of Honoré de Balzac's connection with the original hotel/inn). That said there is room for some significant improvement in the hotel’s accommodation. Whilst the price...
