Stayed here 7 nights half board, this is really a nice hotel.we did get there early so our room Wasn’t ready so they put our bags in the suitcase storage room until the room was ready. We where given a garden view room which was very clean and spacious and quite a big balcony and quite The food was very good so much choice for both evening and breakfast but the waiters seemed to pounce on you in the evening asking what drinks you want. The pool area was very clean and plenty of sun beds, one pool Is heated ( never discovered the indoor pool). Drinks are reasonably priced about 7 € for a cocktail. Went to the sister hotel the palace for drink in the heaven bar which was really nice with great views. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach which has lovely sand and the sea is warm, loads of bars restaurants And shops, bus stop to Palma just outside 2€. We have been to this resort before and new that a lot of Germans and Dutch go there ,the mega park in front of the hotel was shut but the last time we came here it was 24 hour non stop partying. We really did enjoy this holiday there was everything there what we wanted, We don’t usually go back to the same Hotel but we will be back next year

I really enjoyed our stay in the Hipotels Grand Playa de Palma Hotel.
The beach is very close (approx. 1 Minute Walk) via the rear exit of the Hotel. The bars and restaurants are also really close to the hotel if you want to go out and celebrate. Nontheless we didn‘t hear the noise in the hotel and didn‘t felt disturbed.
We really enjoyed the breakfast and buffed as they have a variety of food also for vegatarians and non pork-eating people. They also have enough tables that you don‘t need to look long to find a free one.
We also enjoyed the pools and the bar service with some really nice cocktails.
We were also satisfied with the overall cleaness of the hotel as the very friendly cleaning stuff cleaned the rooms everyday and change your towels etc.
The staff in overall was extremely friendly and kind. Especially a big thanks to „Alex“ in the reception.
If you wish to rent a car for further trips on the island you can do it directly via the hotel. We really apprecited this as we did not have to fear to fall for a scam. Your rent car is then brought directly to the hotel. After you don‘t need your rent car anymore you can just park it in front of the hotel and leave it there. Really nice isn‘t it ?
To visit Palma they advise you to take the bus as in Palma there are not many park lots. The bus station is on the right next to the rear exit of the hotel. There you have to take the busline 25 which will bring you directly to Palma. It only costs you 2x2€ to get there and get back.
I would really advise your stay at the Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma Hotel.

Where can I start with this hotel? From the moment we entered the reception to arriving in our room, you could tell attention to detail was A1. The aesthetic of the hotel is just lovely. From the lovely smiles of the receptionist to Pepe taking our bags to our room for us, the service was AMAZING. We arrived early but this did not seem an issue at all, we were prepared to go off eat and come back, instead we were surprised with a room upgrade. The upgrade was such a massive surprise as we had not asked for one, Junior suite with a clear seaview. This made my holiday especially since this was my 1st holiday in a year.
Our room, 656 was spacious and loved that we had two sinks in the bathroom, this was handy especially when getting ready for a night out. Loved also that our room had sun loungers but from what I saw it seems it is just the suites with these. Double rooms do have a table and chairs on the balcony.
We choose to stay half board and were pleased we did this. There was always plenty of choices when it came to breakfast and dinner. The reason for giving this review 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the amount of salt used on food on the live cooking stations and not much dessert choices for those who are lactose intolerant or vegan. Fruit was my only option but the cakes looked delicious and would have loved some too. Drinks in the hotel were very affordable especially at the snack bar, cheaper than drinks on the strip.
Top tips:
Visit the rooftop bar at the sister hotel next door they have live music and the views are lovely.
This hotel is great if you also want to visit Palma (€4 return on the bus) and close to the beach/ strip.
You can buy water from across the road at the minimart but if you walk to the right after leaving the hotel from the back entrance, there is a spa there and they allow you to use your card for free even for transactions less than €5.

We booked a room with sea view but we can only see the pool and other rooms even though we specifically asked for a nice sea view. It is not worth the upgrade and money. The walls are very thin, we can here our neighbours talk and listen to music until late. The staff didnt seem to be interested in our request and wanted to get rid of us as fast as possible. The breakfast buffet is less than 4 stars, there‘s not even fresh coffee or tea and the fruit/berries were frozen. The room doesn‘t have any amenities like house shoes or a pool bag and there‘s no coffee machine or any products in the fridge.

Very large room with garden view balcony. Go for pool view rooms if you want sunshine on your balcony Beds were large with crisp white sheets and very comfortable Shower excellent Room safe and small fridge included Buffet breakfast and evening meal offerrings wre superb. The choice and quality in the evenings was as good as anywhere we have visited. Breakfast cleverly gave you lots of choice and a few different items each day so you did not get jaded ALL staff were fantastic, polite, friendly, hard working and efficient- just right Hotel location was good for strolling along beach front with lots of cycle and car hire nearby. Reliable #25 bus to Palma every 20 minutes or so from rear of hotel for 2E We walked it first time- 6 miles so the bus is a better option! A great stay and we would look for other Hipotels as a result

Just back from a weeks stay here with my elderly parents and young daughter & we all and loved it. Approx 10 minutes in a taxi from the airport. Big hotel that was modern & spotlessly clean. Grounds and pool areas were immaculate. Pool towels available with a deposit of €15 each refunded at the end (changeable daily if required). Buffet breakfast and dinner with so much choice of lovely food and it was being replenished constantly. Busy at meal times but not annoyingly so. Staff and service sleek and friendly. Used pool snack bar too for a few lunches which had a good choice of meals & drinks. Had a pool view junior suite which was large and spotless with a great view & big balcony - lovely white bed linen and towels changed daily if required. Comfy bed, double sinks, shower & bath, hairdryer, fridge, double wardrobe, safe, rail on balcony to dry swimwear etc dressing gown, slippers, air con - everything you need for very comfortable stay. Reception staff friendly & helpful, taxis available at any time and bus stop just outside for Palma & shopping Mall trips etc. Approx 15 minutes taxi (€20ish) or bus (€2each) to Palma centre. Beach less than 5 minute walk out of the back of the hotel (room card operated security door) along busy promenade with shops, bars & restaurants. Didn’t hear any noise from the hotel. Great location for us and would definitely stay here again. Would say the hotel is at the top end of a 4* rating.

This hotel is ideally located 10 mins drive from the airport and one block back from miles and miles of sandy beach. It is first class design with large modern open spaces and is exceptionally clean. The breakfast was superb, though our holiday treat of cava at breakfast was only available on the weekend. The rooms are large, the balcony spacious and the bed huge and very comfortable. There are no robes, iron or tea and coffee mailing facilities in the room but you can hire them from reception. We tried the evening buffet twice and the food was incredible with something to suit all tastes with an al la carte vibe with many dishes. The restaurants around would price similar to home so the buffet was great value for the quality ( €23 pp ) and it never felt overcrowded or impersonal as many can.. Shout out to Mani at the ‘Joy‘ kebab spot across the street, a cheap late snack if you’ve had a large lunch. Also would highly recommend the Verbano Italian restaurant, a seven minute walk away which was fantastic and great value also. We checked out the roof top bar one evening at the hotels sister (Palace) next door which is rated 5 star. The experience was lovely ( Cava and a beer 9 euro) but I was glad to be staying in the Gran as it seemed to have more life about it. All in all I would highly rate the Gran Playa Hipotel and would definitely consider returning.

Wonderful hotel, a last minute booking due to the Covid, but a superb choice. The hotel shares the grounds with its sister hotel the Palace, but the pools and spa are shared.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and very fresh, and also quite big with good sized balconies. They are predominantly split between pool view or sea view, don’t waste money on the sea view as they view is obstructed by a derelict old night club, thankfully it was closed, and the pool view rooms have a far better view including a side sea view. The sea view pic is from 447 and the pool view 429. The higher the floor the better I’d say.
The food is excellent and there’s always been something tasty to choose from, the main restaurant has a wide taste to cater for the range of guests, and the pool bar has an excellent menu too. Even though the hotel is full, getting a table has never been an issue, service is outstanding, and sun beds a plenty, many still available after 9 am.
3 pools to use, all clean and safe, the grounds well kept and everywhere clean and tidy. The spa and gym very good.
One of the highlights has been the 7th floor Heaven rooftop bar in the Palace hotel, laid back, great views over the bay, lovely drinks at a reasonable price and excellent music, different artists each night. If you want to avoid the throngs of young Germans in the resort, this is the place to head to.
Special mention to Ricardo, Ingrid and especially Kim, from the pool bar, who always had a smile despite being busy, and Kim for endless service the the poolside beds.
The beach is 200m via the rear exit, and a long promenade that runs from Arenal through to Palma is there. As the resort is a German one, be ready for masses of partying Germans, it’s their equivalent to Magaluf (on a quieter scale), and so the majority of guests are German, all of which were very polite and well behaved.
If there is a downside to the hotel, it would be the resort, which isn’t the hotels fault, great for Germans but they vastly outnumber all other nationalities. Other than that, the hotel is spot on, one of the best we’ve stayed in, we’ll certainly return and it scores a 10/10.

Just returned from a 7 night stay at this impressive hotel. Very difficult to find a fault. Impressive Lobby and general areas, all very clean and spacious. Staff were all polite and helpful. We stayed half board and the breakfast and dinner were extremely good. Good selection for both mess and well presented. Pool areas were clean, never an issue getting a sun bed and hotel towels for the pool were good quality and easily available. Sister hotels rooftop bar was a must to visit for the lovely views and reasonably priced drinks. The local beach was literally a 2 minute walk across the road as was a selection of small local shops. Nearby Parma was easy to get to on the bus just outside the hotel for 2 euros each. Taxi back was only 20 euros later in the evening. Lots of hand sanitizer around the hotel and everyone wore masks inside which made you feel safer. Covid swabs available at reception too which was easy for going home requirements. Overall very impressed and would highly recommend.

This was our second stay at the Gran Playa and this time was as good as the first. Situated off the main road behind the main promenade, the hotel is ideally placed close to the seafront. All aspects of the hotel come across as being spacious and clean and in our opinion, is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Reception is inviting with its modern looks and the staff are friendly and helpful The rooms are again modern and comfortable with the maids keeping them spotless The buffet restaurant is bright and inviting with the food always hot and plentiful and varied from day to day unlike some we have been to. The pool area is open and spacious with to large pools with plenty of sunbeds to go round. the pool temp was perfect. No ice breaking here Evening entertainment was ok, some very good, some not so but you do have the option to visit the Sky Bar at the sister 5* Gran Palace next door. All the staff can be congratulated on how they went about their work and were all friendly and helpful and we thank you all for making our second time with you so enjoyable.
