Well other than too good food because you want to test everything all the time ending up with our belly looking like a beach ball 3 times a day :D But to be real - food excelent, I mean we were there (me+wife+2yo kid) for a week. They were repeated surely but not like every time everything were the same, just some things like a pizza for dinner or pancakes for a breakfast are 100% there every single time. For me it rather was asuring, I do not like when menu changes entirely every day. If you for example do not like the fish or other sea monster you have always something to choose from. Vegetarians will be ok there, plenty options for them as well, no idea in case of veges or those who do not tolerate gluten. If I would guess how many options there are on every meal I would take a shot into aroud 20-30 dishes. Fruits are extremely good, tho do not expect having like 20 types of them each time. They are just mixed and changed between the meals. Ok let's get out of the food area. The staff. Damn amazing. I never met with such kindness both to us and a kid. Waiters in a good mood can even dance when picking the plates, reception will do anything you need even if you ask for a particular thing after the asigned hour (namely towel replacement, the ones for beach/pool). Cleaning always smiled. They are like one living organism, seriously. Waiter will not say - sorry it is not my business to care for this or that. If you will glass somewhere, somebody from staff will take it even if it is a hotel manager. Seriously no complaints. The rooms - yea we took the small one but this was our choice and not particularly good one. To the guests with a small kid (baby carrage included), bit small but doable. We almost never stayed there so... whatever. No problems with a noise, unless you have somebody that shuts the door or shouts on the street but this is always a thing when you have more than two humans close toghether :D Beds are comfy, quiet - no squeaking (!!! :D). Very clean. The fridge is actually working, this was a novelty for me. Cool thing that they thought about those blackout curtains, huge plus for that. AC is working, not smelly at all. So the bad things. The room project is a bit miss IMO. It is the usuall - rectangle shape with a bathroom in it as a separate area - usual hotel design BUT BUT BUT some guy thought - hey maybe we will replace this wall between sleeping area (bed side) and where the shower is with this milky blured glass... Really design is cool, I get that the wanted to stand out but imagine what happens if you will turn on the light at the middle of the night... whole room is like in a day. For sure you will wake others so... I got around with a smartwatch flashlight mode but it is not as it suppose to be. The bathroom doors is also a bit of a miss, tho not that big as a glass wall. They do have to have some affinity to glass now I think about it... They are also made out of glass, of course, but this time it is not as disturbing because they are in the "antechamber" area. The real problem is that they are of the slide type with this big 2 finger gap when closed. Not that big deal but having a kid and heavy glass doors... I was a bit nervous when my doughter got her hand into sliding them. Overall these are small problems as you can see. I really had to nickpick for those. I'm taking the one point from sleeping only for this weird glass wall... and I want to point out that I would go there again in a heart beat. Not this month tho... diet time...…
Im currently staying here. If i would judge by some last bad reviews, i wouldn't be here. But i would like to give it a try. Starting for the staff checkin, super nice and friendly. The hotel super clean and renovated. There is alcohol for disinfecting your hands every where... They measure your temperature before entering at the restaurant. The food is OK... not too many options... But its OK... I stayed in 3 hotels in the same vacation (Iberostar Albufera Park/ Barcelo Ponent and now at the moment Riu Bravo) Not to many options for lunch and dinner. I think is because the covid restrictions. But definitely I would stay here again!
We had a enjoyable stay in Riu Bravo in October and the hotel had many qualities which we have come to expect of Riu hotels. The hotel was clean, bedrooms very clean and pleasant staff. I was disappointed the pool wasn’t heated and there was no day time entertainment. Unfortunately the evening entertainment was very poor but there are many bars outside to escape to. The food selection was good and catering/restaurant staff were excellent.
Firstly I am a great fan of RIU Hotels and I like Germans. See the other reviews. This is a first class hotel, almost spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and great fun. In general I found the food to be of a high quality and great variation. It also benefits from an indoor jacuzzi and steam room with a small gym. However the hotel and the surrounding area is like a mini Berlin, germans are absolutely everywhere we were the only English and met up with a couple from Scotland hence the title. To be honest I’m not sure why this is in TUI’s English website as it seems to be bang in the middle of playa DJ Deutschland and drink as much as you can and try not to fall over
Nice Hotel, our room was perfect with a great view. Decor is very up to date with many area's in the surrounding garden to relax away from the pools.. The food is standard as are the drinks in any European Riu,they could definitely be better!!.. The hotel and this part of Mallorca is geared towards the German market,we knew that when booking. We would definitely consider returning that area but would have to see improvements regarding the food & drinks in the Riu brand to consider staying in one again in the Mediterranean..
