We stayed for a few nights. The places was new, simple, and charming. Breakfast and service were great, we liked the atmosphere, and the rooms, while a bit small, were snug, accommodating, and functional. Overall a solid and affordable place to stay for a bit. It was a bit hard to find due to the area being newly developed, but...

Stayed overnight at the end of July. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the managers helpful and breakfast as you would expect (selection of continental breakfast things). Disappointing things: the layout of the breakfast display is completely at odds with the layout of the room thus creating queues..., the coffee was pretty bad and the swimming pool was not finished....

Even with a GPS it was difficult to find this hotel. It is situated in an industrial area outside the main town of Dol de Bretagne. There are no nearby amenities - restaurants, shops etc., you have to drive to the centre of town. There is an automated check-in that you have to go through on the computer screen situated...

We stayed here at the start of a cycling tour around Eastern Brittany. I had phoned ahead to ask about car parking. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the receptionist (Owner?). She had noted on my booking about car parking and she was able to fulfill my request. We stayed here for 2 nights in all (start and finish...

We stayed here one night on a trip from Finisterie, Brittany on our way to Mont Sainte Michel. We had visited Dinan and then wanted to see Dol de Bretagne. This is a low frills hotel, but very clean and the staff were helpful. If you are just looking for a clean comfortable room to spend the night, this is...

New hotel with small, but very clean rooms. There is tv on the room, but it has only French channels. The WiFi is very poor. My husband has WiFi, but i didn't get an connection. The hotel is situated outside Dol-de-Bretagne so you need a car. There is a big supermarket (Carrefour ) in walking distance. The check-in is at...

Really tricky to find. The little signs on the road among the industrial unit signs were impossible to see! Once found I couldn't fault it. The receptionist was most helpful and offered to put our expensive road bikes in a shed. Quad room was very clean and spacious. And quiet. Breakfast was busy in a tiny area. Plentiful and cheap....

After staying in a French family vacation home and a B&B -- both lovely -- our teenagers were ready for a hotel that reminded them of home. The Akena City did not disappoint. The quad room felt roomy, the a/c was wonderful, beds were super comfortable, and everything was very clean. Nice place run by nice people!

Having spent 9 fantastic days near tregunc in Brittany, and taking a slow sightseeing way back to calais, decided to stop at dol for the night. Nothing booked so was expecting trouble finding a bed. Having chosen to stay near Dol-de-Bretagne for the night, I decided to look online for a suitable place to stay. Akena was just off of the motorway from St. Malo going eastwards, so looked ideal. How glad I was that we decided to stay there. Sandrine and Martin were superb hosts, nothing was too much trouble - although there was...
