I found "La Ercina" to be an amazing place to stay. We got the rooms upstairs and they were quite comfortable and very warming with the wood on ceiling, giving it a look and feel, like a mountain hut. The heating was always on and you had the option to control the radiators in your room. The bed was comfortable, although on the soft side, so were the pillows; nevertheless, we managed to get reinvigorating sleep and the rooms were very quiet although several other rooms were occupied. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, which to us is a huge plus! The owners were extremely nice and provided very useful recommendations on what to visit and what places to go to. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options to choose from. All in all, we will definitely return!
not the best hotel ever, the price you pay is too much for what you get. a breakfast nothing out of this world, normal things like bread and cofee. do not expect too much of this, just a normal place to stay.
In LA Ercina you stay on the middle of the nature, close to Picos da Europa. Around there's nothing to do, but it's the same with every hotel in this region, you have to drive to get to anywhere. Staff is very friendly, the room is small but comfortable, I could sleep earing the cows bells right next to the hotel. It's great to rest. Under the rooms there is a bar where you can have small meals, but if you want to have a good dinner you have to drive 3km to the next village and go to Casa Maria, it's cheap and has a lot of food. Great recommendation by the reception lady. The breakfast is very good! CONS : the room next to mine had a bathroom and it was like they were taking bath on my room's bathroom I could ear everything... But for this region, this is one of the best you can find. …
This small family run hotel is ideally situated for the Picos Mountains National Park and so reasonably priced that a week touring the area is easily affordable. The lively hotel bar is usually well frequented by some of the friendliest, hospitable people I've ever met and readily offer advice on where to go and what to see. The bed and breakfast package is good value, rooms are fairly spacious and well appointed with full en suite (not bath) and fresh towels daily. WiFi is accessible in all rooms and public areas. The only downside is the limited bar meals menu, chips with everything unfortunately but there are plenty of other eating out options near.
Very good breakfast, clean hotel, good wi-fi. In general, cosy and comfortable. Good location to visit Covadonga lakes and walking routes. Close to Cangas de Onis where one can eat quite well (I recommend El Polesu). On the "negative side, the lady that checked us in provided the most awkward welcoming ever.
