I just do not understand the good reviews this place has. Unless other rooms are completely different to the one we stayed in. The reception and bedroom stunk of smoke. We were on the ground floor and our bedroom window overlooked a main road which was literally no more than 1 metre away. This meant we hardly got any sleep with cars racing past our heads. There were hairs everywhere in the room - In the bed sheets, bath, sink and floor - really disgusting. The bathroom was very small. Then, when we wanted to check out at 7.30am to get to the lakes before 8.30 when the roads shut, the doors to the main house were locked with no staff to be found anywhere. I really don’t understand why this hotel has such rave reviews when it smelt so bad and was so dirty.

We got a room on the second floor, small, but it had everything we needed! Breakfast was generous and varied (the eggs and the apple cake were really REALLY good). Very friendly owners who gave us advice on what to do and where to go (in spanish)

The owner was very helpful to us and our dog. We got a nice room overlooking the river and we got good recommendations concerning where to have dinner. The breakfast was very good, not least the bacon and eggs from the hen farm nearby.
