Had to call maintenance the first morning. The shower would only turn on when the sink was turned on. Turn off the sink and the shower went off too. Weirdest thing I have ever seen. Building one or two are closest to the pools but the most dated.

Beautiful place with amazing amenities. My suggestion if your interested in purchasing is to say no to the first 2 or 3 sales people and you'll get the best deal. Our quote started at $68k and was $6000 by the time we had seen 5 sales people. 19 restaurants and a mile long pool are just some of the amenities.

This is coming from a dad, traveling with 6 people total, including 4 kids under the age of 11. We were debating to stay in the Mayan Palace or the Grand Mayan. Here's my take after a 1 week stay. Both resorts are on the same property so you can wander to both very easily via a beautiful network of... More

The resort is beautiful but huge. On arrival you're given a little package with information by someone whose first language is not the same as yours and this is after travelling all day. Getting further information is a challenge - like which restaurant is open when or access to a menu. There is virtually no information provided in the room.... More

Wife & 3 Kids and Grandma/Grandpa – 2 Suites, Building 17 Mayan Palace This was the first (non) all-inclusive resort we’ve been too in Mexico in the past 10 years so I was skeptical in the beginning regarding how much $$$ we were going to spent but I was pleasantly surprised with bill at the end. I’ll share with you... More

I'm a timeshare holder, which means that I can book outside my share through Interval International. I've had my share for 16 years and I've never experienced such a horrible unorganized, uncaring, and inadequate staff. From the first day of check-in to the last day, it was a disaster. The grounds are beautiful--no doubt, but the staff at Mayan Palace... More

We visited for the week of Thanksgiving with 3 adults and 3 small kids. The Resort was so large that you have to check in at the front gate, then drive to multiple lobbies to find the right hotel, then take shuttles to your room. The fact that our building (17) was so far from the pools and restaurants and... More

We went to visit this resort after we got hunted down by a Vidanta salesman in the airport in Cancun. We went to the resort and were very impressed by the facilities, and purchased a membership. We asked the saleswoman about the cost of meals and we were misinformed as to the price of the food and drinks on site.... More

Check in went very smooth and quick. This is a cash free type of resort. You give them your credit card number at check-in which allows you to purchase groceries, food, beverages that are charged to your room. Tips are included for your food and beverages at the restaurants and pool area, but we would still give a tip in... More
