Riviera Maya is a great place to spend time with family and hang out at the beach or pool. Walking to your room it is not uncommon to see iguanas of all sizes sun bathing on the side walks. The service at the pool is finaminal, orders were never wrong and the food was always good. The pool joy squad...

Stayed at the Grand Bliss portion of the property. The people were genuinely supportive and the service was exceptional. From the reception staff at the Mayan Palace where we checked in to our bellman/driver Gabriel (warm and welcoming), to the most patient concierge, Emir, who ensure a seamless checkout. The VIP Joya (Cirque de Soliel) experience was a must-see and...

This is one of many resorts on a large property called Vidanta. We stayed at the Mayan Palace a couple of years ago and moved up to the Grand Mayan this year. The place is large and beautiful with several pools and restaurants and a large beach. The people are super freiendly, and the food is very good and reasonably...

We stayed at the Grand Mayan the first week in April through an RCI trade. We had been warned about the timeshare salesmen so we did our best to avoid them. We mistakenly approached one for information and got an ear full about how their presentation wasn't about timeshare sales, how there were discounts available, etc. Our phone rang everyday...

Visited there from April 10-16 . The Grand Mayan is a huge resort and very nice. It takes a few days to find your way around unfortunately, and you have trams and golf carts as transportation around the resort. I was there for relaxation so it didn't effect me that there isn't much to do in my opinion if you...

3rd time in 18 months. Large resort, a lot of walking even with shuttles. Beautiful flora and fauna. Most staff speak English (even a few Spanish words are appreciated). The staff crossing their hand to their heart makes us feel our hard earned money is appreciated. Housekeeping staff best ever. A lot of construction going on still. We absolutely love...

We spent a week at the resort. The place is huge! I still get lost after spending a week here. The entire resort is tastefully decorated, immaculate, and clean. Everyone who works there are well groomed and will greet you anytime of the day with a smile on their face and hand over their heart. We felt respected and safe....

I have been coming here with family and friends for the past decade and I feel that the new owners have changed their approach in ways that are cutting corners. The positive first: Great pools attentive pool personnel Great restaurants Circus Soleil (excellent) the negative: people reserving pool chairs and beds that sometimes never show up or arrive hours later...

Dear Guest: Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback about your recent stay at The Grand Mayan. We are delighted to find out that you enjoyed the pools, restaurants and our pool staff. However, we deeply regret the inconveniences experienced in our resort. Got mis-led into a presentation for their "private residence club " ie: a time share under the guise of a "disclosure report" about time share exchange fees. After presentation of 5-6 hours of my time I found out they created a credit card account in my name and charged $1500 which I now must "dispute" and cancel. Hopefully I can...
