The hotel has direct access to the sea but has no beach. It is completly isolated from other hotels or establishments so you might feel a bit stuck. It is located in the part of Maolboal that is considered "high end" and described as quiet. Both statements are true, however, it is so quiet and remote that feels like off...

Okay, thank you - we hear your comment. If a TV that is running and no one watches while you arrive makes you feel depressive makes you seam sensitive. Short time later I turned off the TV anyway as no one was watching anymore. The Filipina owner's job is it by the way to entertain and to introduce tours to...

When arriving to the hotel you'll be welcomed by really lovely staff which is one of the best aspects of the hotel! The rooms are clean, big, in good condition and have a terrace and the AC works, but however the WiFi does not work in the rooms. Also the shower pressure is really low. The hotel area is really...

Thanks for the great rating and for the very friendly appreciation of the staff. It was a really nice pleasure having you and your friends here. However the beach we have here is in a tsunami safe area with stairs going down to the water. If ever you like you can also lay down on this sand area as I...

Staying at Sea Turtle House felt like staying in a secluded paradise; our room was very clean and nicely decorated, the property is large and has so many things available for guests to enjoy with an ocean view! Snorkling in the area is fantastic - it was the best place that we snorkled in the Philippines, we saw around 8...

Dear Christian, I read your revue and I had the impression that you are a Russian or something while now it shows that you are an Italian from Trieste but I just doubt on it. I am also Italian by passport and I like most Italians but there is a problem that I remember: Italians are soooo much fun of...

Having just arrived back this was the review i was least looking forward to writing. I am a positive and fair individual so having to be negative about an experience is not what i enjoy doing. Everything i say here is a fact and not my opinion and would rather leave the reader to make up there own informed opinions....

This is a very long review and my impression of this rather sympathetic writer is that he tries to be very fair and honest (except the point that I would have admitted about one of our staff that it would have been him). For sixteen years in our activity of rooms for rent, hotel and restaurant business in the Philippines...

I went to Sea Turtle House for the second time with my girlfriend. This time we brought my Canadian friends with us. I promised my friends that they would love it and they weren't disappointed at all. I, my girlfriend, and my friends were in awe of the peacefulness, the sights, the food, and the helpful nature of the staff...

Absolutely awful!!!!!! The worse place I have EVER EVER stayed! And I am a backpacker and have been traveling for 2 and a half years. I don't even know where to start. It's in the middle of nowhere, no shops near by to get food, the only option is their menu which firstly is overpriced, and secondly was awful!! I...

Awful? Thank you very much!!! You don’t know where to start? So how come you start? This resort is in the middle of nature and it even has its own nature sanctuary with a private protected zone of the Endangered Philippine Nature. In front of the resort you can get first class snorkeling at the reef edge especially at low...

We were deciding between the Sea Turtle House and the Asian-Belgium resort as there was nothing else really available. Well, we choose the Sea Turtle House but when we arrived we saw it was a mistake. No beach, no good entrance to watter, the whole area is not nice at all... Unfinished, quite far away from the White Beach (...

This is quite a sarcastic and cruel guest revue from somebody who was invited for free to a birthday party here. I came to know though that this guest had a sports accident and suffers strong back pains. I understand that this condition is not easy to bear and that a person can really get unfriendly because of that. You...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sea Turtle House Beach Resort is a resort for nature lovers and its rooms are located around 9 meters over sea level and is therefore very safe from tsunamis. It has stairs and handrail for to go down to the sea. It has a self made sand beach with beach volley ball, badminton and other games for our in house guest's free use. It has a great view to the clear blue sea. The difference between high and low tide here can vary vertically more than 3 meters depending on the position of the moon. The sea here has some very unique little animals because it has been reported that it was closed on its sides naturally many, many years ago. That's why some scientists are planning to study the phenomenon under sea level. From our sea shore of limestone with corals and sandy areas you can often observe sea turtles, especially when they swim up for air. The resort offers fresh air and tranquility for a great night sleep. Experience snorkeling, scuba diving or free diving. Just a short walk away you find also the well known White Beach. The resort has a size of around 5000 square meters (one of the largest resorts here) - that offers a lot of space, garden and possibilities for just 7 guestrooms and the resort practically has no neighbors - and most rooms have even built in noise reducers. These are great advantages in a lively country like that. The manager/co-owner of the resort loves the place so much he would never want to stay anywhere else. ... more   less
