Very nice spot with beautifull view on the sea side. Room is turning pretty old fashion so they would deserve severe refurbishment. Overall atmosphere is relax and casual as expected. Food is good and restaurant on the beach is a very nice place. GO are friendly as well. Miniclub for kids is really good.

My wife, 2 children, and I had a wonderful time at Club Med Cargese. Stephanie, the Chef de Village, was wonderful & very accomodating. The Mini Club program for the kids was stellar. I went SCUBA diving with the dive shop down the beach & had a great time.

Accommodation: Run down hotel that offers room that are smelly and with broken beds. We checked into a room was located on the ground floor that smelled of mold and had a broken masterbed. They did change our room the next day - but spent two hours of switching rooms. This room should have never been offered to us. Restaurant...

My husband and I stayed here the first week of September and the club was full. It was our first stay at a summer club med and we're still in two minds as to whether it was our last. First, let me address the positives: the location of the club right on plage de Chiuni is stunning, beach and sea...

Club Med Cargese in Corsica is a French based holiday experience, and a little French language ability is a help. Without exception, all of the GO's (on site team) were helpful, most speak at least 2 languages, many speak English, but for me the fun was 'getting by on schoolboy French'. We went from Darlington by rail, and caught the...

Cargese is a beautiful place and the Club Med has a prime location, tucked into a lagoon. Absolutely beautiful beach. The rooms are very small, somewhat old ,and obviously worn; the structures are cheaply built and have taken a beating, I'm sure. The rooms are (barely) adequately in terms of cleanliness but it appears they are designed to be beaten...

We have done a good dozen of club med in various continents and are gold members . Cargese is one of the nicest by its location and one of the poorest by its quality of accommodation. No welcome on our day of arrival, very cheap rooms (clean though) and this strange impression that nothing has changed for years in the...

We recently spent a week at this Club Med (2 adults, 3 kids). There weren't many Brits there and the place was very French (which is part of the reason we went so that the kids would be able to practice). There is enough English spoken to get by if your French, like mine, is a little rusty. We had...

I realise now that in my review of the 3 CM resorts (Cargese, Napitia and St Ambrogio) we stayed at in 2012 that I did here a couple of months back I left out a number of impressions/opinions that I had at the time. Eg. The Italian food at Napitia was molto buono (the rest fairly forgettable) - it wouldn't...

We stayed at 3 different CM resorts this year, Cargese and St Ambroggio both in Corsica and Napitia in Calabria - here a short comparison/summary of the 3. Best location: Cargese - a really beautiful spot! Best rooms: forget Cargese as you prob already know - I'd have to give it to St A, especially those rooms right on the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
North of Ajaccio on the west coast of Corsica stands the Village of Cargese, overlooking the clear waters of a sheltered cove. Clinging tightly to the mountainside, it looks down on the large sandy beach of Chiuni. Its bungalows are sprinkled like confetti over 13 hectares of scrubland in an area packed with Corsican wildlife. The sloping Village provides a wide variety of land and water sports for both adults and children. An invitation to enjoy a break in a beautifully wild setting. ... more   less
