Old building tastefully decorated and furnished in excellent modern taste. Friendly welcome and a very good restaurant. Situated in an old mediaeval stronghold with the remains of a Norman castle looking down on to the Alcantara valley from far above. A must visit!

This hotel is the perfect way to experience Sicily the way it was centuries ago, but with modern conveniences. Right around the corner from the main square, Piazza Lauria, it is easy walking distance to all the major sights. The owner and staff could not have been more pleasant and welcoming and did everything they could to help us feel...

Once we found the Hotel the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. Overall, our room was clean and quite. The restaurant is of good quality and the house wine is great. Be sure to allow time to talk a walk around the town. Be sure to talk with the locals.

Stayed here for a wedding: What a great inexpensive hotel. Very clean, great staff and the restaurant is excellent with great local dishes. This is a family run hotel and it shows in their care of the guests.

Everything was perfect: the rooms with balcony, the food, the obers, the rooms, the classical paintings, the swimming pool. The obers were most friendly, the breakfast elaborate the beds fantastic. We stayed here for 3 nights, our room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, the front office very friendly, the restaurant is good also. We highly recommend staying here if you are in this area. The AC was really appreciated in the hot August here.

Fabulous little hotel with magnificant restaurant downstairs! Lovely rooms, warm and welcoming staff, great attention to our requests, very few but immediately answered. Heartily recommended for lodging and food. Another Sicilian hiiltown where GPS doesn't work so well, if it tries to send you up an impossible alley ignore the turn and let the satelites figure it out!

If you want to see what life is like outside of the large towns and cities then visit exquisite Castiglione di Sicilia. A beautiful mountain village overlooking Mount Etna. Don't expect the comforts of a large town but enjoy the tranquility and friendliness of this marvellous place. Little language spoken outside of Sicilian bot a problem. Super food and wine....

CONTEXT: a week´s tour of Sicily with one-night stays in different locations. ADVANTAGES: Pleasant family-run hotel in an enigmatic town with few other choices (the only other hotel in the centre was shut) Quiet in March. Pleasant staff. Wifi (but slow). Large rooms. DISADVANTAGES. Cold (until the heating was turned on for us). Few other places around (although try the...

Older style hotel which has not been refurbished but is clean and comfortable. Located just off a square at the top of town in a quiet location with on street parking available in the square. The restaurant is very good. There is a nice bar, shop and taverna behind the hotel. Our room had a partial view. The air con...

“Didn't see any other rooms but we understand that when restoring the building the owners chose to have fewer rooms (only nine) so they could make sure they were all of a good size. Our room, Room 11, had two balconies and possibly the best one from that respect. Next to reception but very quiet. There are a few steps from outside into the reception area, but apart from that access is easy.”
