Do Not miss this! Our lodge, Casa Antucura, arranged a day at this estancia. We did not want to ride horses so wondered, "What will we do". Wow, what a day! Pedro and Sandra were just too accommodating to us. Pedro took us on an hour long drive into the foothills in his jeep, over 4 streams, on a rough...

We loved Estancia San Pablo. Karen organised everything including transfers and activities and introduced us to our lovely hosts, Pedro and Sandra. They are a warm and lovely couple who took great care of us and made us feel at home. Sandra's cooking was great - each meal a three course extravaganza with a choice of wine from their cellar....

Very nice stay in Estancia San Pablo, away from everything and totally disconnected. We were welcomed by Daniel and Hannibal who look after the place along with their two cute huasos-in-the-making kids. We particularly liked the horse ride outing with Hannibal and the barbecue he prepared for us right by a mountain stream! Karine who runs the estancia along with...

Just spent two lovely days with my husband and friends in the remote valley. Away from all stress factors, surrounded by the sound of a small river and admiring the life of the gaucho's this is paradise for those who want to get away from the crowds. Carin and Thierry who recently are in charge or the guesthouse did their...

Do to unseasonably heavy rain last February, the estancia's trout stream was totally blown out, and we were unable to fly fish. However, Walter, his charming family, their hospitality, food and this rustic family estancia and vineyard were quite beautiful and restful. Walter took us on a local tour, and we also spent a long afternoon riding in the scenic...

We did a one day fly fishing tour with "Trout & Wine" tours, which brought us to Estancia San Pablo for breakfast and back again in the afternoon for meriendas. It was an amazing place - they are very self-sufficient over the winter, and make/preserve a lot of their food and drinks to get them through the colder months. We...

We stayed at Estancia San Pablo for several nights in February 2012 and found it to be a very unique experience for those wanting to venture a little further afield than the most travelers. Walter (the owner) picked us up at our B & B in Mendoza and drove us to the estancia – a drive that including fording the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
45 000 HECTARES OF PURE AND WILD NATURE IN THE VERY HEART OF THE ANDES... A one-of-a-kind place to discover the habits and customs of a typical estancia in the Andes, at the foot of the Tupungato volcano, in the Uco Valley. Stretched until the Chilean border, this estancia is an unspoiled setting of the Argentinian soul. Like the old << gaucho>> dogma says: "In the countryside, everyone is welcome as a friend", the guests can enjoy for one day or several days, staying in a rural house, an ecolodge or a camp in valleys cut by streams; share the peaceful life of those Argentinian cowboys, immerge themselves in a rich biodiversity, fish in crystal-clear waters full of the wildest rainbow trouts, discover the livestock farming, appreciate around a fire, under a pergola or in the middle of the Cordillera, typical meals of traditional flavors, and enjoy the home-made wine, issued from 1700m high vineyards. ... more   less
