Cleanliness of the rooms is definitely a concern here. Rusting taps and there's a urine smell in the bathroom. No roaches or weird bugs fortunately but you really can't expect much for the price paid for the room. In any case, we were informed by other travellers that most of the other hostels/B&Bs are not much better, unless you go...

Stay in this hotel only if it's a must. This definitely has the best view of Mt. Bromo but the buck stops there. The rooms are filthy the bathroom is deplorable. The mattresses musty and the blankets. ..you might as well shiver all night with cold. The breakfast take is cockroach infested. ...and the food only for those with an...

We had booked for 2 nights but decided to leave after our first night. The standard room at IDR 700.000 ($56) was very sparse and uncomfortable, everything seemed to fall apart. We had no towels or sheets, I had to get them at the front desk. At 2.50 AM staff is waking all guests with hard knocks on the door,...

After spending a few nights at a guesthouse with no hot water, we came here for the hot water and got the standard room for 550,000 IDR. Our room was on the side of the hotel opposite Bromo, so our view was only a farmer's field. Went to the hotel restaurant to have dinner, and they informed us that any...

I'm not a young backpacker but I'm spartan and easy going. the experience was terrible. Temperature there is low 8/10 degree. They give you only one old synthetic blanket which...

We stayed in the deluxe room next to the restaurant. The view from our room was magnificent. It was clean and spacious for 2 of us. Comfortable bed and blanket with hot shower. However, the constant use of pestle & mortar until late at night around 10+pm disturbed our sleep as we had to wake up early 3am to view...

Stayed here for one night after coming down from Gunung Semeru. This hotel is the top of the ridge of the caldera and the Sea of Sand. It is located at Cemoro Lawang village and the view from this establishment is stunning. You see Mt Bromo and Mt Batok in the caldera in all its splendour. There are fixed chairs...

Rooms are consider 3 stars to the local standard and buffet breakfast reasonable. Price of room changes according...

Not much choice in Cemoro Lawang, but this hotel is a good pick: the view on the Bromo is absolutely amazing. Don't take the economy rooms, those look like prison cells... but if you take a standard or higher, then it's okay. A bit pricy, but it's the Bromo. Really good breakfast buffet ! Book your tour there as well,...
