Having become accustomed to pokey, cramped accommodation in French ski chalets this was a welcome and vast improvement, without having to pay any discriminatory single supplement! Really good value. Wine and food were good and plentiful. The skiing was great too - would thoroughly recommend an all mountain pass to get a good range of awesome skiing for anyone who's...

That was what my partner said as we got on the plane home-I suppose we'll just have to settle for booking again asap. As the only novice skier in the group I was a little nervous prior to the holiday, as it happened I enjoyed the skiing but I would also have been fine if I hadn't- I could have...

We've just returned from a week at Chalet Isabella with a group of 6 other friends and our 15 month old son and are already determined to visit again as soon as possible. Having done several ski trips in cramped, self-catered apartments we felt it was time to do a more grown up holiday - definitely the right decision! Sara...

Have returned seven times so say no more!! - always have a brilliant time, Sarajane, Jimmy and family look after us beautifully and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely chalet with fantastic views and if you like a hot tub for the aches and peace at night after a hard days skiing this is the one for you. The ski...

We stayed over the Christmas week and shared the chalet with another English family who we didn't know which worked out very well. The chalet isn't actually situated in Sameons which is a little misleading as it's closer to Verchaix but is quite a way up the mountain side. The situation is pretty and we knew beforehand that we'd need...

This house was perfect. We were a group of 11 with younger and older children. The hosts children were great fun and very entertaining. We had homemade snacks ready everyday when we got back from skiing. Everything was so relaxed you felt at home.

This was our second trip trip to Chalet Isabella and it felt like going back to see old friends. We travelled with another couple and their little girl of four who was great company for our little girl of 5, we all had very different experiences of skiing from total novice to hard core veteran and we all had a...

My wife and I stayed with Sarajane and Jimmy for the first time in Feb 2012 (booked again for Feb 13) and we had the best skiing holiday we've ever had. Like most we initially stayed in hotels for our first few skiing holidays but having tried the chalet experience we were completely hooked. Chalet Isabella is like taking the...

After a year away we returned to Chalet Isabella for a long weekend and standards are still as high as ever. Great food, beautiful accommodation and best of all a truly friendly and genuinely warm environment. Nothing is too much trouble and the balance is just right between being welcoming without being intrusive. Jimmy (the host) took us skiing and...

A bit new to this Tripadvisor thing so going back over pervious trips. We have stayed with Sarah & Jimmy three times now. Our first trip was half term 05. We spent a fantastic Christmas there with a bunch of friends ( 3 families ) in 06 ,and really felt like we were 'at home' for Christmas without all the...

“A variety of rooms available- twin, double, bath ensuite, shower ensuite one without ensuite but extra bathroom opposite. Ours at the front of the chalet had a balcony. One had old carved wooden built in bunk beds I'd have loved as a kid!”
