We (including 2 children 9 & 13yrs) stayed here in June. We loved it and wished we had booked to stay longer. We stayed in the Garden cottages as we could not book one of the larger rooms - the place was almost booked out 4 months prior to our stay. Now we know why. Although being full the ample... More

Staying at Alam Gili was definitely the highlight of our holiday. The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious and the accommodation was above expectations. Each morning we were warmly greeted and served the most amazing breakfast in the dining room on the beach, a couple of metres away from the crystal clear water. The accommodation was very spacious... Great snorkeling, hammock right on the beach, on the quiet side of the island. Nicely decorated bungalows. We enjoyed our stay and wished we had more time. Some great new places are opening up on trawangan though so check your options.

We loved this hotel. The only negative was a bumpy, carriage ride pulled by a tired looking "mini-horse". I felt so bad for the horses on the island. But there are no cars on Gili (that I saw) so carriage ride it was... Everything else was wonderful. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was huge. It was nice to eat... More

After a few days at a 5 star resort in Lombok we boarded the long boat to cruise out to the Gili Islands. The aqua clear water reminded us that we were in for some good snorkelling and diving. We were not discappointed. The snorkelling off Alam Gili is a morning delight. A bit harder to access at low tide... More

Stayed at Alam Gili for five days in April 2010. Good points-Great quiet location, tapas bar (karma kayak nearby), pizza restuarant (Coral Beach 2 minutes walk) very helpful and friendly staff, menu a little limited but food was good. Good snorkelling right off the beach. Bad points- We stayed in the Suite Fish, 2 storey suite, quite nice with lots... More

We stayed 2 nights in Alam Gili. The room is good, but there's no Tv or AC. The breakfast is good and served at the beach. The pool is minimal. The staff was friendly although most of them only say a few words in English. The location is very good; it's a easy walk to the harbour area, but far... More

We stayed for nearly a week in the suit fish. You can't beat the location on the island or the price, but the staff took things from our room. First it was little candies we had out on the table, then later in week they took a bottle opener. One day the cleaning staff played with and changed settings on... More

We had stayed previously at the Alam Gili and had really enjoyed it but this time unfortuntely were disappointed. We had booked the Duyung Room at the front of the hotel which has a large deck , the deck itself was great for relaxing on and watching the ocean . The outdoor bathroom was very basic and needs updating. The... More

The place grows on you - at first, the rooms are dark,it's away from the main drag, the corals a pain at low tide, the cooking is reasonable but after a week I was smitten with this little bit of jungle and the staff were just wonderful. Well done Wayan, Putu, Aries, Baku, Echo & the team - my children... More
