I read Trip adviser on the day we left and was surprised about the bad ratings. Obviously they renewed the rooms. They are plain but clean and nice. The Chef is not so good in speaking english but the staff. They are always willed to help. Breakfast was really good and easy and they gave us some mosquito protection for...

Due to late arrival in Gili, we haven't got time to search for other homestays. A very friendly and nice guy lead us to quite remotely located homestay. The bed was ok, but the toilet wasn't. It leaked and had seen better days. We spent just one night in tamu tamu and then moved to another homestay. Also the breakfast...

This place is just not worth your time. The staff when we got in was lying around doing nothing and could barely be asked to get up and show us to our room. The outside looked nothing like the photos. Trash everywhere and don't even get me started on the looks of the outside kitchen. The thought of having a...

We stayed here as it's all we could afford. It was fine apart from there being a problem with the water pretty much every day, halfway through a shower. We're pretty easy going people so we didn't mind the place. Wifi isn't fantastic but it's an island and there are power cuts. Nothing terrible. It was all a little soured...

Firstly this is a very honest review. On arrival at Tamu Tamu we were created by a bunch of seemingly friendly young men, neither of which seemed in charge. We were told that the room had been double booked (something we had been warned about by previous reviews) and so we were given a room in their 'partner hostel' next...

It's a cheap place to stay but it is certainly worth paying a bit extra. The were so many ants on our bed the whole time we were here - and absolute infestation. The bathroom roof leaked massively so when it rained (which it does in wet season) you got soaking if you went to the toilet, brushed your teeth...

I visited Tamu Tamu twice. It's the best hostel I stayed in whole I was travelling indonesia. It isn't the best in terms of facilities but it has everything you essentially need. What makes it special is the staff! The guys there are awesome! They help you with anything you need. They are always happy and singing! I spent my...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was basic but clean and spacious. The place is chilled with the staff playing guitar and singing. We had no problem getting breakfast early and they always answered our questions about the beach and boat times etc. If I came back to Gili T I would stay again.

If you're looking for a laid back, very cheap place to stay with the friendliest, most hospitable people then this is the place for you. The rooms are basic, the showers are cold, the beds are comfortable and that's all you need on Gili T. If you want the Hilton then pay $50 a night for posh accommodation, but if...
