Cheap prices and good location near the old city center. You can reach it on a bus from ferry station. You need to be ready that it is real backpacker's hostel, with shared bathroom, and it made from wood and a bit of s#$t.

Cheapest stay in Macau. The place is really old and run down, but have character and was in a movie. Located in a very lively area and easily accessible, with many restaurants. Worth a night or two if you are in Macau.

We stayed for two nights. The staff isn't friendly with English. Although they respond quickly via email when we booked. When we arrive there, we have to pay first before check the room. After we pay full amount + deposit, the staff took us to the room and give the key. So we couldn't cancel the reservation. The room's condition...

This "hotel" isn't so dilapidated it's charming - it's just terrible. I really don't expect much, and not much was provided, but a bed bug infestation is something I won't suffer. It's not that they bite, (they do), but carrying the pest back home in my backpack sounds really horrifying. It was the National Holiday and everything else was booked,...

Someone had here say that for an additional $10-20, you could have a better accommodation. He/she could never be any right, it's like staying in horror movie. A year have past since I stayed in that place but the trauma still stays with me. I have been to historic or tun of the century buildings and hotel. But none have...

if you have budget for same price, I'd rather sleep in HK. actually it's just a hostel. I can not sleep well cuz I could here what's going on next door very clearly. Room is a little bit wet which made me quite uncomfortable.

We stayed here two years in a row in 2013 and 2014 at the balcony room. This is one of our favourite place and really it's a place where you can either appreciate its beauty or you can't. Definitely a bargain for budget travellers but also a hotel with so much history and beauty and great atmosphere. I see why...

I wanted to stay in Sanva for some years because of the film "Butterfly", and I finally made it! Sanva is a no-frills nostalgic hostel as it is clearly stated in its website. Our experience in Sanva was in a dilemma of love and hate. I wouldn't recommend or not recommend it because if you are intrigued by its nostalgic...

Sanva Hotel (it should rename as Hostel instead) is just like our old Grandma's house, got its old charms without the modern comfort. We stayed for two nights but didn't sleep for two nights and almost beg for the night to be over because it's as if we are sleeping in the oven. Great place to wash your clothes though,...

As a historian, I really enjoyed the experience here. The accommodations are a step back in time, but everyone's really nice and helpful. It's close to the historic district and buses to Taipa/Coloane. Naming it though, I'd same it's more of a heritage hostel/guesthouse than hotel. It's really about what you want.
