We had a very special stay at MGM Cotai for my husband’s birthday. Every step of the experience was flawless and memorable. From the reservation when I contacted the hotel about trying to do something special for the occasion I didn’t expect it to be that much! Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and escorted to the front office it was like they knew us and were just waiting for our arrival, check in was fast and easy. My 2yrs old boy got a MGM lion toy from the staff and he loved it. We were upgraded to a suite and I am so grateful because it felt really like a vacation even though we didn’t leave Macau. The room was decorated with happy birthday balloons, cake, chocolate, wine, birthday card and a super special photo frame with our family photos on it, priceless! They also noticed that we had a toddler and prepared everything for him: crib, bottle warmer etc. nice touch! The room is over the top: modern and classy. Breakfast was served in the room: fresh and delicious. Checking out was very quick and easy also. All the staff we had an encounter with was helpful, gracious and polite. Honestly one of the best hotel experiences we had and we can’t wait to repeat it. Thank you MGM Cotai, my husband was absolutely happy with his birthday celebration and my son had so much fun in your hotel. Appreciated!

We booked MGM Cotai as our fifth staycation in Macau to celebrate Christmas which also happened to be our dating anniversary. We booked the room package with dining voucher (800MOP) and breakfast. When we were queuing for check in, my son wanted to go to toilet, so my husband took him in. Just then, it was my turn to check in and my 1 year old daughter didn't know what was going on and asked me to push her pram away. A hotel staff came out and give her an MGM lion, and she was very happy playing with it while I was checking in. Upon arriving in room, a cake was set up for our anniversary, and some snacks (gummy bears and marshmallows) were provided, together with some fruits. My son was overjoyed with the snacks.
During Christmas, there were many activities in MGM Cotai, my children went for decorating biscuits (gingerbread man, Christmas tree and a snowflake biscuit) during their stay.
We booked Grill 58 for our dinner, which served excellent food, and breakfast was served in Coast, which serves excellent breakfast too. (These two restaurants I will put them in separate reviews).
When we check out, we were given a box of chocolate. With the staycation package, I was already finding it very good value, with the excellent service and so many surprises (cake and snacks, free box of chocolate and the MGM lion stuff toy), it made our stay super enjoyable that my children didn't want to leave and asked me why I have only booked one day. My 1 year old daughter kept saying "MGM" even so many days after we have checked out.

I heard Tria is a nice awarded SPA and also Forbes 5 stars rating SPA at the MGM Cotai hotel. Therefore, quite reasonable I’d expected corresponding service or treatment in here.
I made my reservation 1 day in advance and Inquired the difference between several treatments with the SPA receptionist. She was patient to tell the details and giving me suggestion. At the end, I pick the “Deep muscle release” treatment which the receptionist mentioned it’s strong pressure massage follow with oil massage treatment which sound good, and quite suitable after my workout day.
I arrived 15 mins earlier on the next day. Except for the SPA receptionist who collect your payment and for sure the massage therapist I met, I barely see any attendants who can ask or show me the next steps should do. What kind of poor services in 5 stars hotel SPA.
The massage is really really strong pressure which I kinda ok to stand, but THAT IS IT! You won't feel so relaxation during the massage unlike most of the SPA treatment in hotel. When I am thinking the following oil massage would be balanced the hard pressure part, which might feel better. Well, that hasn't happened, the treatment ended with only strong pressure and different to what I informed from the SPA receptionist. The therapist show me the door back to the changing room after the massage, there have no tea or just water offered to you after the treatment. Even a local massage shop that you only pay five times cheaper would treat their guests better.
On the only upside is the SPA have cozy stylish environment, pretty wooden modern design along with Macanese pattern decoration, soft background music also create quite nice atmosphere in the SPA. After all, I regard to feel deep disappointment for the overall experience in this “Awarded” SPA, and really wonder how these Awards, Forbes star rated come from.

We got free upgrade to suite, the rooms are spacious, in very good conditions, with bathtub, steam room, and heated mirror and towel rack. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, esp. the one helped us at check-in counter and the one gave us extra blanket. Kids love the lion doll, snacks and drinks. Swimming pool is not big, but not crowed with people, and kids can play in heated pool. We will definitely visit again.

MGM Cotai offered the best deal in town to attract local tourism, as far as I know they are the first to offer great room package with complimentary breakfast and 800mop dining credits, I've been staying in quite a few hotels in Macau and still think MGM Cotai offers the best deal. Room was upgraded with late check out, and the service associates have been extremely friendly. Hope to come visit again to try the pool as we couldn't due to thunderstorm warning. Thank you front desk and housekeeping for providing such a clean and comfy room to our stay!

At first, we couldn't beat the offer from MGM grand as we compared around and it seems like they have the best to offer from all around. Second, we are also celebrating our wedding anniversary with my 2 year old daughter and that should be really fun for her. It did took us some time to find the check in counter but the check in process was fine and smooth and the service agent also escorted us to our suite. When we opened the door, we saw this very spacious room(already very happy) and the children set up of candies and chocolates which seems very thoughtful. Then we go into the room and saw the balloons, pictures and the set up, we thought WOW, that is really really surprising. Afterward, we did a quick tour of the room by ourselves since the room is equipped with advanced touch panel that requires some time to manipulate. We took our daughter to the swimming pool for 2 straight days since that is our main activity during the stay. The pool staff showed great services, they will set up your chair with towels and offer refreshment drinks from time to time. To wrap it up quickly, I do recommend this hotel to local families and we will definitely have a second stay very soon!

we stayed here for 2 nights and it's not bad at all.. the room, the lobby, the atmosphere.. just fantastic. we arrived here directly from the airport via the bus shuttle and checking in was fast. we really liked macau because you can walk around and visit all the casinos and what they have to offer in terms of food and shopping.. then you can take a free bus shuttle to the city and enjoy the town, traditional foods, and stores. anyways, MGM cotai rooms were clean and refreshing. it had a beautiful washroom with rain fall shower and toothbrush and so many towels.. slippers, robes, and a free mini fridge that is stocked daily.

😘We have a super enjoyable staycation in MGM COTAI Hotel!!Especially thanks to their Front Office staffs, they let us have a memorable hotel staycation experience🥰
When we arrived there, Front Office - Jovy and Alan greeted us and help us to check in, the whole process was very efficient. They had full of smile even though they were having mask on and explained us in details of hotel facilities, helped us moving the luggages and also reminded us some on-going promotions about MGM COTAI hotel.
We mentioned to celebrate our anniversary for the staycation, when we arrived to the room already served us the welcome drinks. We were also surprised when returned to our room after our kids finished the hotel offered the water ink drawing activity, Front Office staffs - Jennifer, Angus, Christina, Joy were made the room decorations with balloons, it's so beautiful and made our kids happy.

My first time staying in Macau MGM Cotai Hotel. it is a very luxury hotel and elegant everywhere.
Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive to approach for assistance during my arrival. Front Office Reception Vita was very great for approaching and personally assisted for my check-in, also escorted to the room. She was very friendly and well explained my booking package. Not only check-in, whenever I approached counter for billing enquiry and check-out, Vita was always at Lobby personally escorting me to counter and assist.
I stayed in the Suite Room, which the size is really over what I expected. I stayed with my kids and they loves a lot spending times in the room. Hotel Team also very impressed for the kids setup inside the room for my arrival.
There are lot of restaurants for your selection, Chinese or Western. I had dinner in "Chun" and the foods are really amazing. Specially the Tea smoked chicken (not sure the correct dish name) we love it a lot.
Also many selections for the buffet breakfast, recommend to taste their peach yogurt frappuccino, it's delicious. However, chef who at the egg counters could be improve on the person who make order. Seems the chef confused who request for eggs order. But the rest of the staffs in the restaurants are very attentive for the table service.
Sure that will revisit MGM Cotai, since just only 1 night for this visit and not able to enjoy their swimming pool...

Hi, thought nobody wants a surprise except your husband, it’s not easy to get the hotel to make something for yOu unless you send them your thinking in advance. If I were you, I’ll go to their website, check which restaurant you prefer or in budget, make reservations saying it’s for celebration of birthday or even preorder a cake or something or ask for better seats to have small party...plan what you want instead asking what they can arrange for you.
MGM Cotai is a very grand in scale resort hotel so they centralize to answer questions on line or via Customer services. U may find its e-mails and inquiries on its website.
There are more places to choose from in the Macau area.
