The Government of Macao SAR lifted all travel restrictions enforced on inbound visitors in January 2023; 3 years after the outbreak of the COVID pandemic; my wife and I were so excited to make a trip to Macau in February. We stayed at Crowne Plaza Macau. This was the first time we stayed in this Hotel and we had an enjoyable stay there. We like this Hotel so much that we have already made multiple reservations at this Hotel in March and April.

This Hotel is ideally situated close to the Zhuhai-Macau border, the Kung Pak Crossing Point. It takes less than 5 minutes for a taxi ride from the Hotel to Kung Pak Crossing Point. It is also not far away from both the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Sea Crossing Bridge and the Macau Outer Ferry Terminal; all within 10 minutes taxi ride. I was informed that the Hotel will resume operating a shuttle bus connecting to the Kung Pak Crossing Point and the Outer Ferry Terminal soon; this will make the travel to this Hotel more convenient in the future.

The Hotel is located in a quiet zone of Macau so it is not so crowded and bustling as other hotels in the city centre or on the Cotai Strip. However it is adjacent to a large residential complex so guests staying at this Hotel can conveniently go shopping and dinning outside the Hotel.

This Hotel already opened 6 years ago but all the facilities in the common area and guest rooms are well maintained; they look brand new. There are many comfortable seating in the lobby so accompanied guests can take rest during the check in process.

We stayed at an Executive Suite with Club Lounge access. The room was absolutely enormous, functional, and thoughtfully designed. Our Suite was located in the high floor zone and was generously sized measuring over 100 sqm. There was a separate master bedroom and bathroom, a large walk in clock room, an isolated reading room, and a spacious living room. The décor, ambience and facilities in the Suite were all of first class perfectly blending high tech with quality and classic elegance but not overly ornamented. Every aspect of this Suite was well designed and carefully considered. The world famous Borghese amenities kit reinforced a luxury touch to this Suite.

The living room was equipped with a spacious sofa which can accommodate 3-4 persons with a large table placed in the middle. There were two chairs on the writing desk so just this living room alone can suit for a big party for drinks and entertainment. The separate reading room was a pearl of this Suite as it was furnished with a reading desk and a 3-seaters sofa. As such a guest can still enjoy full privacy while the invited friends having activities in the living room. The spacious clock room was large enough for two persons managing their luggage and clothing at the same time. The roomy bathroom was featured a large island bathtub, a separate glass shower room equipped with rain shower and an isolated toilet. The whole bathroom was gracefully and harmoniously decorated to the fine details equipped with technologically advanced components and fittings. The king-sized bed, the down filled pillows and duvet were all superb comfortable.

As the Hotel is located at the harbour front and the Suite is equipped with floor to ceiling windows so we had panoramic views of the bay and the landscape of Zhuhai and Macau.

The Club Lounge is relatively small for a size of this Hotel. My wife and I enjoyed the food served at cocktail time. Guests can make their own choice from the 4 course menu which included Chinese medicine infused soup, wonton soup, salad, lamb chop, deserts ......... They were all delicious.

Excellent, attentive and caring services provided by all hotel staff as what you can expect from a luxury property. I would like to give my special compliment to front desk executive Andrew Kowk for organizing smooth check in for my family and providing comprehensive information on hotel facilities. Their customer oriented services really helped my family enjoyed our stay this time.

I would highly recommend this Hotel if you plan for an inter-city travel among Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai as you will enjoy both your stay at this Hotel and the convenience of your inter-city travel.

Excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza Macau. Great service by all, especially Raymark on the concierge desk and Lisette on reception.

Both were really helpful at all times. Raymark helped organise a trip to a show at The House of Dancing Water. Definitely worth going. Tip, cheaper tickets were fine to view the whole performance, (rows L to M seats nearer to the end of the row near the screen). Also use the free hotel shuttles and local buses. Just download the local bus app for easy and cheap travel.

Hotel room was lovely and the indoor pool was good. Food was also good at breakfast. Be aware if you are a fussy eater in Macau as not many options for the western pallet.

Only small gripe was we organised a mini bus from the hotel to Hong Kong airport. It was $250 HK dollars (£25) per person, which was cheaper than the ferry. This was not a hotel organised thing but through a company who the hotel promotes if you ask. Good value and quicker than the ferry.

The gripe was that there was no explanation given on the process and the driver was a Chinese speaker only. A simple sheet provided for Crowne Plaza guests showing the process for customs and where you meet back up with the driver would be helpful. Don’t let that put you off as a very convenient way back to HK airport.

Would definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza if we came back this way.

We had a one of a kind experience! From check in, we were welcomed by Jim Li and was provided with welcome drinks which they even explained the concoction. Kudos to their housekeeping staff who always make sure we got everything we need in our room. Our room and all the hotel's facilities cleanliness are very well maintained. And it was a seamless transaction during our check out with Tammy Zhou and Emma Cheong. We'll definitely come back again! 100% recommendable!

Before my arrival , I have call to your hotel reservations for asking about whether my booking have been success and ask her to double check. Wow , when she (should be yoko around afternoon 3pm something)answer the called she told me to check in directly at the hotel without asking my name my detail my reservations, instead I just ask did I have any reservation. Upon my check in , I did told them that I come for my birthday celebration , but they don’t care and don even say happy birthday to me and wishes me have a great day at all even though not a smile. The room overall is fine but these few days maybe I’m not feeling well so then I gave a call to contact center request for a late check out, common sense normally even other five stars hotel will give a very late check out until 2pm, but at first the hotel give 12pm make sense however I just say can I have late check out again but i didnt even mention until 4/5pm ? The person which is very hilarious answer the call told me that the room occupancy is very high , please let me know your hotel is really full occupancy since the nuclei test already change to 48hours how come will be so many people stay, and also you make different kinds of promotions on the travel agent. Fine , when I check out I request to find duty manager who named Vincent Wong to make a complain or maybe a feedback about my stay in the hotel, which he make me so impressed how he handle the situation about guest complain like treating as not their fault and keep mention that the late check out time only can remark till 12pm due to he say that my booking is from Agoda and on the website he mention check out time till 12pm only. I told him that my feeling and feedback which can make the hotel to do improvement , he keep stopping to let me talk and interrupt me in the middle of conversations asking me where I’m from from Taiwan which city I stayed actually it is not relevant to conversation we talk. Furthermore, I feel like he is a typically racist person keep asking me this kind of question , how come the manager did not look into my profile before having conversations with me, and treat me the way the attitude which is he is not even answering my questions at all. Anyway the manager provide me a late check out till 2pm, in that time is already 1230pm I pay all my bills and bring my luggage down, so may I know what’s the point to told me you may check out at 2pm, I don’t want any benefits from your hotel side, I just wanna share my experience to you guys and please please listen to what I’m saying and provided guest what they need instead of keep debate with me without listening my questions and keep ignoring. Hope that in the future your hotel and the staff could provide a better 5 stars service to other guests thank you.

we booked 5 rooms on October 17, 2019, when I checked in I had to deposit 2000MOP, so I used my card, and I received the receipt and the account was debited, but to this day 6 months my money was not returned, the reason the transaction did not go into their account. I have already been to the card issuing bank and even contacted the mastercard and the answer is that the settlement can only be done by the merchant, namely the Crown Plaza as the executor of the transaction, but until now there is no response from the hotel anymore. can't believe a 5 star hotel but it can happen like this. make sure when you deposit using cash do not use the card, it could be the happend again as I experienced

Great & quiet neighborhood since there are no casinos. Had to choose breakfast as a welcome gift and we were told that we could access the Executive Club which, unless they plan to open a larger venue, the hotel should be embarrassed to call a small windowless room — that can only seat 12 guests — an executive lounge. Only around 4 or 5 menu items are served a la carte style and choices apparently do not change from day to day. Disappointing.

Great hotel, staff are very helpful and friendly. Special thanks goes out to Kevin Yang at the front desk for helping to ensure our booking for 2 rooms was on the same floor and close to each other (particularly as we were traveling with an elderly parent). The buffet breakfast had lots of variety and was very tasty. The hotel faces the water and there is a long broad walk if you fancy a jog or walk before breakfast. Rooms are modern and well kept.

Will stay here again when we next come to Macau. Tip: make your booking via the IHG app and get additional benefits such as discounts on dining in the hotel and late checkout.

This hotel is located near the Gongbei port with Zhuhai and pretty far away from the casinos so it's really quiet. It's near residential neighborhoods so there are supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby. The room itself was large and spacious and very clean. Service was excellent - every evening housekeeping provides turndown service and as a Platinum member I was given fruit platters and sparkling water. The staff were also warm and courteous.

One minor issue was with the buffet. It gets really busy in the morning and there is only one coffee machine, so there's always a line of people waiting to get coffee. Moreover, the coffee cups run out very fast. It would be nice if they could add more coffee machines.

They limit the guest of using swimming pool (only 20 pax each time) due to the recent conavirus situation. It is absolutely right.
I cannot use the pool on the first day and would like to enjoy the pool facilities on my due out. My check out time is 1pm becos I’m the priority club member. I called and asked to extend it o 2pm and got rejected. They told me it is the ihg rules of not giving check out time at 2pm ( well, I can tell it’s not the truth)
In the meanwhile, they don’t offer any reservation or booking for pool facilities, people needs to q up there. It was a horrible stay with kids

A very well celebrated anniversary of ours at Crown Plaza Macao.

They knew that we are celebrating our special day and we are grateful that they made it extra special, that they upgraded our room without extra cost.

I would like to commend John Zhang at the front desk, who took action with our in room dining bill, there was a misunderstanding regarding the discount, and without hesitations he applied the discount on our bill upon check out.

We would also like to thank the chef at the breakfast buffet for providing an excellent service.

Very recommendable indeed for celebrating special occasions!

We'll definitely see you again, soon!

HI, there hotel shuttle buses are lined up by the harbor to pick up guests. If I remember it correctly, they wait there every 15 or 30 minutes. Crowne Plaza Hotel shuttle bus is free from the harbor to the hotel and vice Versa. Just in case you don't speak Chinese, you may keep this Chinese name of the Hotel for reference, as most people do not understand English. 皇冠假日酒店. Also Taxi is not very expensive to go anywhere within Macau since the city is very small.
