The hotel is not good. The floor in the room was very dirty. The noise from the highway gets in the room at night. There was a moldy smell in the room and black mold around the windows. The bathroom was old and very small..a bit in the dirty side. The hairdryer produced some sparks and I gave up on it. It's sad to say, but this is not a nice place nowadays.
We ended up at this hotel as the better hotels in Rafaela were full. The hotel generally and rooms are very tired with old decor, paint and concrete exposed and chipping in walls, mould and other marks on worn carpet, noisy refrigerator, old and small bathroom etc etc I had to unplug my refrigerator to sleep and remove from my room an automatic fragrance thing they have in there that gave off a sickly smell (trying to improve the mustiness I imagine). The room was clean (bathroom, sheets etc). The breakfast was nothing special with some ham and cheese available along with some bread and coffee and cereal. If you can book somewhere better I would avoid this hotel however it is ok if you need a place to rest after a long journey!
This is my third year in a row staying at Campoallegre in January. I must say the property has gotten much worse. The swimming pool was so dirty you couldn't swim in it. Cloudy, full of dirt, and feathers and feces from birds. The hotel did nothing to make up for this to us. They also advertise free welcome beverages which we were never given. The rooms smell of cigarette smoke and the smoke blows in your room when someone is smoking in another room. A very disappointing stay. I think I'm finished with Campoallegre.
As far as hotels go in Rafaela, this is one of the better ones. I'm told it's the best, but I've never stayed at another hotel in Rafaela. It has a large in ground swimming pool. However, the hotel could do a better job of keeping it clean. The rooms are basic. The a/c is very cold, which is great since the summers are very hot in Rafaela. The TVs are pretty sad. The mattresses are pretty awful. Very soft and bouncy. The breakfast is continental, but not bad.
