Labelled as one of the best hotel in Kuantan. Very runned down with clogged toilets in the lobby. Disgusting. Some rooms are refurbished while majority are not. Hotel is in need of a makeover. Only saving grace is private beach and big family pool.

Called Puan Norazmawati so call the resort supervisor to make a booking for chinese new year 2017. Try make a booking october 2016 until early January 2017. Keep saying only open certain period which only after the management open any bookings. Try to book with name and phone numbers as usual to park our family name. But they insist to record it. Keep on saying not open yet or the management not open any booking yet. Manage to call the resort supervisor again today and the answer is the resort is fully booked. Sad to say, the management of cherating bayview is super duper arrogant. Please improve your management and please change the arrogant supervisor Puan Norazmawati for your goodness.

Lower your expectation guys! What are you expecting for such a rate at Cherating? They r not a 5 stars resort, for goodness sake! The highlight of Cherating is the bloody beach and their resort has one of the best! Forget abt the little inconveniences and enjoy the sun & beach! We had a great time!

The Bad: We called a week before to reserve a room, but was told that we could walk in and get a room. When we arrived at 7pm, there was no one at the reception despite the sign claiming operating hours were from 8am-9pm. After calling the supervisor, she said that the reception was closed and she was on leave, so after asking how to check in, she called a boy who looked like the groundskeeper to pass us keys and receive payment. I was told to collect a receipt the next day, but even when checking out at 9am, there was still nobody at the reception, forcing me to leave my key on the table. Once we stepped into the room, it looked clean and the floor was gleaming. However, once we looked into the toilet, there was lizard poo around the windowsill and sink. Upon closer inspection, there were cobwebs and dust above the bed frame as well. Don't plan on using the wardrobe or TV as both were in terrible condition. AND ALSO, bring your own shampoo as the hotel only provides 2 small bars of soap. Oh and did we mention, do not - under any circumstances - attempt to stretch after you wake up, unless you don't feel particularly attached to your arms, as the fan is slightly taller than a tall man (probably 190cm off the ground). The door was a challenge as well, forcing us to stand outside for a good 10 minutes, just trying to insert the key into the lock. The key and lock were both rusted, and the tumbler (where the key goes in) was not connected to the knob anymore, so trying to push the key made the tumbler shift around. While trying to open the door, a little kitten would come along and wait for the door to open as well, so it could follow us in (which is good if you like cats). The Good: The beach. The hotel is in the corner of the beach so you get some privacy, and it's very pretty with surfable waves. However, there are many other chalets along the beach, so maybe one of those would be a better choice. Overall, it was a bad experience and we felt like the hotel didn't even want our business.

I'm staying in this Hotel for 01 Night with 3 Unit Standard Pool view, the chalet is far from everyone. Hotel itself is under private land. On that day We would like to add chalet, their staff said no chalet available, but on the night i saw is about 3 or 4 chalet with no one. Im disappointed on their poor services. Swimming pool and chalet not bad but not so clean, but its good if they can provide mineral water in room. The aircond is super cool.No Breakfast included. i'am communicate direct with the sales person but once check in the details given is different seem like they cant get along. If you going to stay at this Hotel better to take chalet in front of beach. The Chalet seem no renovated doing for long time. On their way to the chalet also . Its wasted if they not do something because their location is good for the reunion, family vacation as well.
