Very nice resort..so much options, they have old and new villas to choose from and very affordable, clean and friendly service. There is a mini bar, clean bathroom, air conditioned, fan and a nice balcony where you can sit facing the lake... i will bring my family here next time as the resort are family friendly and have lots of options.
Worst customer service, we have been here since 2011 but never felt so much unwelcomed.too bad they lost a loyal guest. Breakfast was real downgrade from 2020 - only bread and eggs now. Limited too. We asked for scrambled egg - the answer is no. After 2 family of 3 come in, many items finished and not replenished. To me the staff was so rude. Kak Sharifah before was a lot better
Really bad experience with the rude customer service upon check in. I booked family villa for 1 night stay but only for day use for the purpose to solat and stroll around the beach and will check out after maghrib. But then the clerk guy keeps on saying we need to pay for extra bed (for what if I didn’t plan to overnight there) for the extra pax or book extra room. I don’t mind to pay but then the clerk guy keeps babbling and accusing and telling me of like i am begging him to stay for free. All i can say is the guy is very2 rude and did not respect the customer. He even babbling to my elderly parent. we told him to drop out the heated conversation and proceed with the payment. he still want to continue to express his annoying comment and still did not process the payment for the extra room. He even accused me ‘perli’ him while i was on conversation with my parent. He even said this place belongs to sultan perak whatsoever. If it is true, the clerk guy should act more politely as he represent a place belonging to VVVIP and not tarnishing the good name of the owner. Never encounter such a very bad customer service before. Arguing with a high pitch voice with customer, make the customer angry and drove the customer away is just unacceptable. So i decided to leave this arrogant place and book another nearest place last minute. Alhamdulillah the customer service is very warm and understanding. Don’t even have to pay for ridiculous terms and condition upon check in. No fuss at all. We can enjoyed the beautiful cherating beach. Reading out the previous comment of this place, i find that this place have been using the same modus operandi to drove the customer away, by the rude customer service and arguing with customer upon check in. Need a huge improvement for the customer service.…
I only stayed for one night and it was such a pleasure for the senses. The room was spacious, especially the bathroom. The area is bigger than it looks like from the entrance. My favourite spot was a bench between two lakes (yes, there are lakes!) in the garden. And the beach is only a few hundred meters away. I really enjoyed just walking around the garden and admiring all the plants. They also have a small library that unfortunately is closed due to covid. The breakfast was toast with scrumble eggs, beans, sausage, jam amd butter. There is also orange juice and coffee, and banana cake. Definetely would come back again.
We checked in to Tanjung Inn on 29/8/2020 and we stayed at the Glamping tent. On the 31/8/2020 5:15pm, my wife and I went down to the beach near by, my wife then returned to the tent to grab something, she shockingly found out that there was a guy standing inside our tent, when confronted, the guy claimed that he was doing housekeeping, my wife then said we supposed to only check out the day after and the door was locked. My wife also noticed that the window at the back of the tent was open, the guy might have came in from there (we didn't lock the window). Immediately my wife felt something not right and shouted at the guy to get out, he then said his slipper is at the back where he climbed in through the window. He pleaded to my wife to let him go. My wife stayed calm and asked him to get out again and managed to snap a photo of him while he was walking out. My wife then called me and told me that incident, i ran back to the tent immediately. I then approached the front desk, showed them the photo and verified with the front desk whether the person in the photo is the hotel staff, she said no. I then explained what we have just encountered to her, she called the Manager. I was expressing my worry to the Manager as to why a stranger can go into our tent and claiming that he is the hotel staff, the Manager said this area is open area, anyone can go in and out. He started to raised his voice when i asked isn't that suppose to be the hotel area, telling me don't simply accuse. To my puzzle, i didn't make that statement at all, anything wrong for me to ask that question or maybe they are too defensive. When showed the photo, the Manager said he recognise the guy and said he is the parking attendant at the parking area next to the glamping area. The Manager continue to shout at me telling me that the glamping area is public area and no stopping of anyone to the area. The other guests at the lobby can hear him shouting at me. I find the Manager to be extremely rude and i told him i refuse to talk to him and requested i have the number of his superior for me to call and talk to them. That angered him and he continue to shout and point finger at me. The Manager also claimed that he is the relative of the owner, to me, i feel sorry for the owner of the hotel to have a relative like the Manager, if he really is. The Manager then brought me to find the guy at the parking area and was told by the other staff there that he was not around. I told the Manager I am going to pack my stuff and check out immediately. After packing, we return the key to the front desk where the Manager was waiting there, i told them i am going to make a police report. When we arrived at the police station, together with the Manager, explaining the incident to the police officer and showing the photo of the suspect, the police officer recognise the suspect right away, brought out a stack of file and start calling the suspect, asking him to be at the police station immediately. The police officer asked us whether we have lost any valuables, we answered no, because we have always careful with our valuables when we are out camping. The police officer then asked us whether we still want to make a report since there is no lost, we insisted to make the report because it is our right to do so and we feel our life was threaten. When the suspect came to the police station, my wife can recognise him easily, albeit he has changed cloth. The Investigation Officer then met us at the tent that we stayed and took some photos there. The officer told us that the suspect has been deported from Johor and he is under the observation of the local police. Our statement was recorded further by the investigation officer back in the police station and they thank us for reporting the case. They will call us should they need further information. We headed straight back to KL after all have been completed. I do agree that the glamping area is an open area, anyone can come in and out but not inside the tent. I did a courtesy visit to the chalet next to Tanjung Inn, Villa de Fedelia to inform them about what we have experienced so that they can be more vigilant. The guard at Villa de Fedelia told me that they do keep close guard on their hotel area. The next thing i want to remind Tanjung Inn is, if they say anyone can go in and out of the glamping area, that also imply anyone can go in and out to their chalets (next to the glamping area), because there is a gate that link there and it is not guarded. I hope Tanjung Inn can put more emphasis on the security of their guests. Lastly, i must mention about the Manager of Tanjung Inn, i have read the reviews at Trip Advisor and many have encountered bad experience dealing with the Manager, I do not know whether he is the same Manager that i dealt with, I strongly suggest to Tanjung Inn Management to look for a more caliber person to salvage your reputation and improve customer service, totally unacceptable.…
Loved it! So relaxing. Tanjung Inn is set in a lush green natural surrounding, directly on the beach by the sea. What a great location! Sea, beach and natural sanctuary right on the charming Cherating Beach. The beach cafes, the life of Cherating are all within walking distance on the beach. The chalets are comfortable and meets my requirement - good air conditioning, hot water shower, mini fridge, duvet and a hangout balcony! The villas are better :) cozier and spacious. We were a party of 5, 3 generations, we took 2 rooms, a chalet for my husband and I and a villa for my 2 teenage kids and my 83 years old mother. The sunrise scene is amazing, one should make the effort to get out of bed by 630am to view it. And for those who enjoy birdwatching and bird photography, Tanjung Inn should be on the bucket list! Oh mind the monkeys, don't leave food outside, not even for a quick transit. They are fast!…
Nice serene place to stay with lovely chalets and villas. We only managed to book the family dig room as they were the last 2 rooms available. Our room was only a short walk away from beach. Glamping is also available here with units surrounding a lake. Friendly staff and a simple complimentary breakfast was included
A week with the family at Tanjung Inn - just the tonic that our family needed A great family run resort. Very relaxed, friendly staff and right on the beautiful beach. A short stroll down the sand to dinner, but far enough away to avoid the crowds (well Cherating style crowds - its all relative). Set in amazing gardens with well maintained chalets - perfect
We stayed @ a lovely 2 floor villa at the Inn surrounded by an artificial pond and beautiful garden; not far from the beach. Disappointingly rooms were dirty, rubbish in balcony, construction ongoing.
The ideal place for a family getaway! Tanjung Inn is 3-star so you get what you pay for. They advertise that there is a limited breakfast option and no restaurant on site, so armed with that knowledge we booked the Grand Villa and the adjoining villa for 3 families. We came prepared with our own food to cook and our own breakfast options. The Villa has a gas hob, microwave, blender, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, big double sink. Basically all you need to make this a home away from home. After Covid-19 and the MCO, this was idyllic. Social distancing measures are easy to adhere to, with Cherating’s endless stretch of beach, and the natural layout of the resort which means that any contact is kept to a minimum. Staff will inform you that you can head straight to your villa, which has been left open with air conditioning on for your arrival. The beach itself wasn’t crowded even during weekends. You need to bring your own beach towels or mats to lay on the sand. Perfect for kids to swim in the mornings during low tide when little pools of water would emerge, and even by the sea the waves are small and so easy for kids to navigate. My sister’s almost 2 year old had a ball wheelbarrowing around in the shallow waters, while the older kids (4-7 years) used bodyboards to “surf” the waves. In the afternoons the wind picks up and the water becomes choppier, at that point the kids had fun flying kites while listening out for the arrival of the ice cream man on his motorcycle. This is holidaying family style, like you used to enjoy growing up. Set on the edge of a beautiful lake, listening to the sound of birds chirping and the small water feature bubbling away. It couldn’t be further away from the stresses of work/school/Covid-19. If you enjoy the tranquility of nature and low density beach life, with a tough of boho thrown in, then this is the holiday for you. If you expect room service and 5 star service, then definitely look somewhere else. …
