We love Hotel Rustika. We are a family of five, with three boys, and we take an apartment which is beautifully spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful family atmosphere, good food and is very close to the slopes. The pool table is a plus as well in the evenings.

With our kids aged 9 and 11, we decided on a last-minute summer vacation (covid19...) in Tirol. I contacted Rustika by phone, and received a clear quotation for room 213 where our kids could sleep in a separate room. The Tiroler Zugspitz area is well organized: the 7 or so towns (all within driving distance of say 15 mins) all collaborate on a shared tourist card (buy that card, and enjoy all cable cars in the area, the rhodelbahn, ... for free. Moreover, the hikes are plentiful and for all levels. (The coburger hutte is a must-do...) And the room, the atmosphere and the dinners were very enjoyable - both for the kids (playground in front of Rustika) and ourselves. The only thing you won't get at Rustika is a pool inside the hotel. And oh, my German is very rough - so yes, you can get around with some mix of Dutch/English and basic German :) Briefly, we got a lot more than we were hoping for - we'll be back soon.

The hotel has an excellent location few meters away from the slopes and the main ski lifts . Most of the rooms have great views on the surrounding wonderful mountains, including the Zugspitze (highest mountain in Germany), Sonnenspitze and Grubigstein. Food is fresh and very well prepared. Staff is friendly and supportive. The hotel style is traditional, while maybe a bit too old fashioned. The kids playroom could have more devices.

I had a few days right at the end of the ski season. Very quite time for both the hotel and village. I traveled with my 13 year old son. We really liked it. Treated really well from the moment we walked in. We up graded to half board which was a good move. €18 Euro per adult extra. Had a room at the back, which only provides view of the hill, but hey not the end of the world on a last minute deal. We would both recommend and would visit again, if we had the chance.

For a lot of years i am coming now in summer to the mountains in the area Innsbruck-Salzburg. This summer i did a reservation to Rustika Hotel in Lermoos for the whole family. Hotel, surroundings and rooms Very quite and well situated hotel with a view to the Zugspitze (for those having the chance to have the room on the good part of the hotel). For the ones having a room on the back side of the hotel, bad chance, no view (95% of the view is a hill on which you can practically and really jump from you balcony). So, better not to be claustrophobic as the hill is really blocking any kind of view. Parking Free parking outside the hotel (13 places) , just in front, if you arrive later by car, maybe no place available in front of the hotel but places always available at 5 steps far from the hotel. Restaurant Situated on the good part of the hotel with a nice view. You have breakfast (07h30-10h00) , with a nice and fair choice of food in very small quantities refilled often, so you must wait to be refilled. The dinner (18h30-20h00) for those having halfboard reservation: soup bar (2 choices) , salad bar and a main course that you chose in the morning out of 3 different choices and a dessert also chosen in the morning out of 2 choices. Take care: quantities are small, if you are a great eater you will have trouble, staff is not open minded about your need to eat more. Food is good quality, tasty but in small quantities. The soups are very very salty ( maybe to force you to drink more and pay more ?). The staff is paying attention at one point in a very particular way : your order for drinks. One night, i did a test, and i refused to order any drink. In 3 minutes, 3 different persons from the staff came to our table to ask what we are going to drink. In 2 weeks during our stay, never came more persons to ask us about the drinks. To be noted that you are asked about the drinks even before having the time to sit at the table. Very strange issue for us: dogs. In austria and germany people love dogs (we love them too) but, when people are coming to dinner in the restaurant with the dogs and you arrive having in the restaurant with you 4 dogs some of them barking, you ask yourself about the sanitary part. I was there with 2 kids and having the dogs nearby the salad bar did not find it very healthy. Wifi: free but slow, very slow, too slow Staff 2 men and 2 women are the main persons in contact with the clients no matter where you need: reception, restaurant... No one is having name tags so i will describe them Young thin tall man and young women, very nice, very open minded, good english, fully willing to help and very nice to clients. The other 2 are not nice at all, very aggressive even. Maybe the low level of english makes them difficult to communicate and very unpleasant. On my side, is a pity for this nice hotel but, mainly due to the unpleasant exchanges i had with a part of the staff i am giving this hotel 3 stars out of 5. All the other elements excepting those 2 people are ok for us. I am sorry, but i will never come back here, i have been in the past in hotels in the area much better than this one. Even if the hotel and services are ok, approach of employees in front of the clients (international clients maybe more than german clients) must be adequate and make them feel welcome. Hope that my review will help you to better chose your hotel.

Its a family run hotel with good service, good food and clean rooms. we stayed here for 3 nights, we had a room with a view to the zugspitze mountain which we really appreciated, a relaxing feeling waking up in the morning with a nice view of the sorrounding area. breakfast was good you have everything you need to start your day, from cerals to fresh fruits, salads, cold meat , egg and bacon and a coffee maschine to choose your coffee to your likings. we had booked a room with breakfast but upgraded it to half board with 4 course dinner and 3 different menues to choose for 14 Euro/person , we had soup, salad at the buffet, main course and 2 dessert to choose. that was a great value and the food was very good really delicious!!! free parking spaces in front of the hotel and free wifi in the room working very well. the wellness area is too small with steam bath and sauna just enought for 2- 3 guest, small fitness room actually this is not a wellness hotel so its ok. The weather was not really that warm during our stay quite cold for a summer month foggy and wet but still we had a wonderful time driving to Garmisch Partenkirchen a beautiful town in Germany and to Fussen to visit the Castle Neuschwanstein i would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would like to go back again in the future.

This hotel is fantastic. the staff cannot do enough to make your stay a comfortable one. The meals are great with two meat and a veggy option for evening meal and no shortage of delights for breakfast. Rooms are comfortable but the better view is to the Zugspitz and not ski slopes. The hotel supplies a snack between 4 and 5pm that is very welcome along with a chilled beer after a day on the near by slopes. the first gondola is literally a two minute walk from the hotel where the rest of the ski area can be reached. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone and would definitely revisit in the future.
