Absolutely lovely hotel in a great location. Comfortable, warm, well appointed with beautiful views of the mountains. We arrived and were immediately given welcome drinks on the patio and were told that our room had been upgraded. Our host, Benedict was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. The suite was huge! Beautifully decorated with a kitchen and stunning views. The hotel was dog friendly as well. The building has been meticulously renovated. The hotel offers bikes to use, included with the room. The breakfast is gourmet and absolutely worth ordering. Everything is top notch and fresh. Elena was so friendly and an incredible cook and hostess. Lots of beautiful hikes nearby. Easy walk to town and restaurants. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

We booked the Franz Joseph apartment with our family of 6. This was our second visit to Lermoos in 30 years. Next chance I get, we'll be returning and not traveling elsewhere. Wish I could stay forever...! Caroline, Othmar and their son, Benedict have done a masterful job restoring this Schloss, just west of the Zugspitze. We had three bedrooms, two baths, a lovely den and kitchen. All new plumbing fixtures, traditional decor, furniture VERY comfortable! What we were unprepared for was: --our own outdoor dining and lounge area; --another terrace that looked over the valley and directly at the Zugspitze. Magnificent and beyond words! That view is now my Go-To memory when I'm feeling harried~! --Benedict's exceptionally delicious breakfasts over looking that view! Breads, fruits, cakes, savory eggs, shaved and marinated Kohlrabi (a first) to go with our endless Mimosas! What a way to start the day! --At the end of the day, cocktails from the bar and the chance to hear about the kitchen renovation! A rare treat! --Last but not least, the cool breezes that brought us the sounds of cows grazing on the adjacent ski slopes. Thrilling for city dwellers to hear cow bells clanging first of the day and at dusk. Caroline has everything you can think of in the apartment, and she, Benedict and Jelena are now regarded as part of our family story. We think of you all often! Many thanks for your kind care during our too short visit, and we look forward to returning as soon as we can get there! Marcie Wilhelmi Augusta, Georgia

Perfect location if travelling with children. They have a playroom for kids on the top floor, bikes accessible for all ages and an outdoor playground just minutes from the hotel. The rooms were well equipped for making dinner if you decide to stay in for the evening but you also have the option of eating meals prepared by the staff (highly recommend the breakfast) while enjoying beautiful views on the terrace. We were there during the summer to hike but are already planning a return trip during ski season.

Wonderful stay at this 300 year old family owned inn. The inn is located minutes from the train station in Lermoos, which is only a couple hours by train from Munich. The building is quaint and charming from the outside, with very tasteful and classy decor on the inside. Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains in every direction. The ski slopes and lifts are literally outside the door. Our host Ben was very friendly and served us in the small but cosy bar the best natural wines we've ever had. The bar has a very local vibe with seasonal and locally produced snacks. We got freshly baked breads delivered to the door in the mornings too! The spa in the cellar was a great luxurious surprise with its old stone arches and newly renovated saunas. We'll be back.

Unique house with individually decorated apartments in various sizes. Great location - practically looking at the "Zugspitze" Mountain - Germany's highest peak. Currently managed by Benedikt, the son of the owners - very pleasant and professional young man (a premium chef by the way). Lot's of space (own garden with trampoline, ping-pong table), laundry, free bikes to rent, etc. The absolute highlight is the lovely spa area with a steam bath and sauna - just relax and enjoy! Hopefully they will open an in-house restaurant too - can't wait for it.

We recently returned from a 1 week stay with family and friends, 10 of us in total occupying 3 rooms. What can I say, this hotel surpassed all our expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious and had all the facilities you would require on a skiing holiday. The location is superb, directly opposite the ski lifts and equipment rental shop. It's nestled in the hills with panoramic views and close to all amenities. The Hotel owners Otmar and Caroline, were the perfect hosts catering for our every need while their son Benedict is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He was so friendly, helpful and accommodating, a true gentleman. When we return to Lermoos we will look no further than the Felsenheim for our accommodation.
