Traditional family run establishment with wonderful ever-changing views of Zugspitze. Comfortable wood panelled bedrooms (typical “Austrian Twin” format) with a safe and a fridge (Upgraded as booked direct). Sunny outdoor terrace. Friendly staff. Excellent half board option at 20€ pp - Five course evening meal (with choice of two meat, one fish or one veggie main) and includes lunch “snack” (eg sausage and chips) – Good breakfast spread – Reasonably priced drinks. On the outskirts of Lermoos in very quiet location (due to through traffic using the tunnel bypass). However need a car to explore the area as bus/rail links not as interconnected as those in Switzerland.

Our family stayed here for two nights and wished we could've stayed longer. This very clean hotel offers a delicious breakfast every morning. We loved having a balcony in our room so we could enjoy the spectacular views.

Exellent in every way! Beautiful view, friendly staff, delicious food, great saunas, free bikes, barrier free, ... You name it! We chose this hotel because of the wheel chair accessability. It was much more than we expected! <3

We were looking for a long weekend getaway and a place to enjoy some excellent hiking. Lermoos is an excellent spot. We chose a view room so that we could gaze across the valley at the Zugspitze. Hans and the rest of the staff treated were always available for questions and suggestions. Each morning and evening Hans greeted us make sure we were enjoying our stay. The food was excellent and traditional Austria cookery. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. We loved being treated like family and will be sure to come again and tell all of our friends about this enchanting location.

Been there many times over the past years. Tremendous good located hotel. With a fantastic view over the whole area and directly to the iconic Zügspitze. Nearly all rooms have a fantastic balcony there you can enjoy the spectacular view. Very nice hotel, in typical Tiroler style. Typical Tiroler food, very solid and plenty of it. Good spacious rooms, good and clean bathroom. Nice wellness area with sauna, stem bath, massage ect. Free internet, high service form a international speaking staff. I love the area, summer and winter, nice skiing area, not to crowded and no Russian NICE.

The views from this hotel room are unreal. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Dinner was good and the view from the patio made it exceptional. Very budget friendly, especially in the off season. The included breakfast was great also.

When the hotel finally came into view, our granddaughter said "It's so pretty, I'm going to die!" We arrived very late, about 9:45 pm (check-in is normally till 7:00 pm), so the manager left our keys with the restaurant manager who greeted us warmly and with his best English, gave us information about visiting Neunschwanstein Castle in the morning. Breakfast is from 7:30-11:00 am. They serve a lunch snack in the summer from 12:30-14:30; Ski snack in winter from 14:30-17:00 and dinner from 18:30-20:30. The rooms are very traditionally decorated and clean. The bathroom has been newly renovated with modern fixtures and tiles with more than enough towels. The pillows and comforters are filled with feathers, so if allergic, request synthetic. Our double room had a small sitting room area with large windows and wonderful views of the mountains. Dogs are welcome in the hotel & restaurant, but not in the dining room. At breakfast every day at your table there is a little newspaper with good tips for the day and the menu. There is a room for children with many different games. There are telephones and cable TV in all the rooms as well as free Wifi. You can get ski passes and Z-tickets for cash payment at the reception. There is a sauna from 15:00- 19:00 on demand and you can book a massage. There are public swimming pools available in Lermoos and Ehrwald.

My husband and I wanted to visit the Starkenberger Brewery and Museum, located in Tarrenz, Austria. Lermoos isn't that far from Tarrenz and we had driven through there before on the way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I decided to book two nights at the Sporthotel Zugspitze. The Sporthotel Zugspitze is very charming and appears to be family run. It offers magnificent views of the Zugspitze and surrounding mountains as well as good food and charming rooms. We were satisfied with the bed, which was comfortable, although some visitors may want to bring an extra pillow. Internet access is free, though the signal is a bit weak. This was frustrating for my husband, who needed net access so he could do some work for a class he's taking. It was frustrating for me because I am an Internet junkie and an avid blogger. If you go to the first floor, the signal is stronger. The room has a small fridge in it, which I know is handy for those who stay longer than a couple of days. We didn't have a chance to visit the hotel's fun and fitness facilities, located in the basement. One other thing I noticed and want to point out is that there were no toiletries included in the bathroom, except for a large container of hand soap. You may wish to bring your own shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Also, the shower in our room had a large crack in it, which made keeping water off the floor somewhat difficult. The hotel offers a very nice buffet breakfast. We had assigned seating. I'm not sure if this is common practice or it was done because there was a large bus tour booked there and they wanted to keep people in that group seated together. The staff is very kind. They even gave us a nice goodbye note at breakfast, which was a very thoughtful touch. Lermoos is beautiful and offers a lot of local attractions. There is plenty to do. You could spend a week in the area and never get bored. I wish we'd had more than two nights in the Tirol region. I think we will definitely have to come back for more.

We had a room for two that had enough extra space for two beds for our children and they were really comfortable beds. The views are indescribable in their magnificence. There is a ping pong table, foosball, pool, and a children's room. There's a bar in the lobby, an included breakfast spread with more options than I can list. We had dinner there which was very goo and the staff were all friendly and attentive.
