First of all you have to understand that this is a FRENCH island and that you will be experiencing a European type resort (hotel). It is NOT 4 Stars but only a 2 Star place in our opinion. I think that about $80-$90 per night is all that it is worth. There are good and bad points and hopefully you...

I don't understand why there are negative reviews. This was a wonderful place to stay in a great location. It is a different culture and has the character and flavor of a tropical hotel which we enjoyed. We did have a great room with a view which made it a peaceful sanctuary yet 5 minutes to the best beach, la...

we loved our week in mid jan 2017 at caraibes bon heur!!! zero complaints here!!! it is true that some rooms may not be as "great" as others, but that is the nature of the beast wherever you go. every place has local "quirks" . don't compare a caribbean 4 star to a US or european 4 star. it's just...

We arrived at 7pm, knowing that Reception would be closed (not so good) and having been told that a letter would be left for us. We could not find Reception in the pitch dark and had to knock on someone's window to get assistance. The letter did contain a site map, but in the complete dark it still took us...

Mixed feelings about the Caraibes Bonheur. I found it very pleasant- good location- nice enough room. It was cute. :) Breakfasts were VERY good and well worth the 7 (9?) Euro. The staff were extremely helpful and made sure our stay was pleasant. Most of the staff spoke very good English, even though they kept apologizing that they didn't. (Maxim...

Staff was pleasant, and the breakfasts were great! That being said, this is not a 4 star establishment. The rooms were severely dated, and slightly run down. There was no shampoo and soap provided, which I did not know about in advance. Exchanging towels was putzy. This was also the first hotel where we were required to drop our sheets...

We booked this holiday via an agent and when looking at the website it looked lovely. Big mistake!! We arrived around 8pm and found our room detail on the front of reception door. It was made clear prior to our arrival that reception closed at 6pm so we were prepared. However, we were not prepared for what was in store...

We arrived around 8.00pm and no one around to meet us apart from a note on the reception door. Our accommodation was placed next to this and was a major disappointment ! The room was very basic with no terrace only a enclosed kitchen with one large saucepan and nothing smaller or varied from which to cook! In the morning...

We stayed at the Caraibes Bonheur and though the Staff may of seemed friendly enough the appartement that was allocated to us was in dire need for a make over in terms of a new refridgerator as the one we had was rusty and dirty around the joints. Ktchen tiles need replacing and tile sealent needs to be redone along...
