Although we were booked to be staying elsewhere due to flooding we were directed to this fine hotel. The hotel was very clean and has a very friendly staff looking after it. We found the food to be very good and thought that the bar prices were very reasonable.

Mr Bridie and I found ourselves in Keith around teatime. After consulting TripAdvisor we thought we'd stop off at the Royal Hotel for an early evening meal. We both ordered burgers mine was served with a tasty chilli topping and a generous amount of real cheese along with a particularly nice creamy coleslaw, sour cream and a basket of fries....

Of the meals I have booked to, I have to admit that this meal was the most over priced, basic (Roast Turkey Lunch) unexciting, Christmas Lunch. Albeit 5 course, There was nothing modern or fancy in the menu provided. I will admit that generous portions were given but I feel that that can be slightly off putting when you are...

I guess these older hotels in Scotland don't come with elevators. So be forewarned when trying to lug all your luggage up the stairs. Room is cute but bathroom had an electric shower which was very hard to regulate - water was either ice cold or scalding. Food was the best part of this hotel - the breakfast was standard...

There were 8 of us in total and we had many different dishes from the menu. Everything was great, from starters right through to sweets. The service was really friendly and the...

Basic but clean room. Very functional and all that's needed for a one night stay, although beds need upgraded as very soft mattresses in my opinion. The food was out of this world and all home made ☺️ A lovely glass of Merlot accompanied my meal too. Excellent value for money 👍🏼
