what a surprise! Me, my wife and daughter had just a recomendation from friends not knowing what to expect. Simply Fantastic!!!!! From our lovely hosts, the couple Howard and Michelle, to the magnificent site and landscapes, everything went far beyond our expectations: staff, beach, activities, restaurant, bedrooms... Will come back soon!

I travel to Malawi every 5-weeks and always find an excuse to leave Lilongwe to stay at Danforth Yachting on Cape Maclear. Howard and Michelle treat everyone like VIPs, but with a laid-back, family feel. Danforth offers everything anyone would want to do on Lake Malawi, including simply relaxing and reading a book while sitting in a lawn chair overlooking...

My twin boys (of 16) and I enoyed a far-too-short 4 day stay at Danforth Yaughting in July, after a busy 6 days on safari in Zambia. Although a bit of a yomp from the nearest airports (3.5 hours by car from both Lilangwe and Ballantyne) the journey, in a comfortable Merc people carrier driven by the resort driver, went...

We are a family of five that had the absolute pleasure to spend 5 short days with Danforth. From our arrival to our departure, everything was done to perfection. Howard and Michelle are truly outstanding hosts. They get to know each of the guests and love to socialize. The food is excellent and nutritious. It has numerous water sports and...

Danforth is run by Michelle and Howard. They combine to form an efficient team that makes Danforth smoothly and effortlessly. The food is delicious with a number of breakfast choices , two choices for lunch and three for dinner. The accent is on fresh well cooked food. Plenty of vegetables and salad. The rooms are spotless, large and have very...

We visited Danforth Yachting for 4 spectacular days in July. I could not give a place a higher recommendation, the rooms were extremely well appointed, extremely clean, and very comfortable. The lodge is well equipped with all the water sports equipment and everything is kept in immaculate condition. My 3 boys had the most incredible time, they learned how to...

Started our holiday in Southern Malawi here. My husband had been working further north and I flew out to join him. It was an ideal place to recover from the journey/work. My luggage did not catch up with me for 5 days and my visit could have been a disaster but the day was saved by Michelle who loaned me...

Our six days at Danforth were a wonderfully relaxing and happy way to wind down after an action packed African trip which has been truly memorable for us both. The whole has been a fantastic nostalgic trip down memory lane for me, such a privilege finally being able to share together some of my childhood favourite places and experiences. Ending...

The worst part of our time at Danforth Yachting was the moment we had to leave. Howard and his team made every part of our stay a memorable occasion. Fantastic food, great diving, peaceful sailing and lots of good laughs. A special thanks to Maria for turning us into PADI Advanced Divers! Can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Danforth last year and we just had to come back. Danforth has everything, fantastic water sport (went sailing every day), cycling, walking and walked to the local village where you saw real local life. A really safe place to visit and the countryside is stunning and Lake Malawi is breathtaking. The food was out of this world...
