We stayed a night at the Aroha Mountain Lodge after riding the Hauraki Rail Trail, and wished we were able to stay longer. The rooms are in a lovely historic house up on the hill, really beautiful and peaceful. The lodge backs onto the Te Aroha "Domain", which is parkland which includes the historic mineral spa, less then 50 metres...

Great location for everything Te Aroha has to offer and a wonderful place to stay with great common areas and very comfortable and quiet guest rooms. We had just completed the rail trail and this was a haven to relax and unwind. Easy access to the spa and the domain with the spa a welcome surprise at the end of...

We found the mountain lodge by chance passing trough town. It was by far the nicest place we stayed during our trip in New Zealand. We stayed in the Veranda Wing. The room was very charming, and we loved sitting on the veranda enjoying the surroundings. The lodge is located 5 minutes walk from the town center and right next...

Accommodation options are limited in Te Aroha but this place is a little gem. The owners are laid back and helpful, arranged a massage, provided information and even went down the road to buy a beer for the guests staying. Aroha Mountain Lodge is one of 3 places Greg and Linda have which you can stay in, all of them...

We stayed just one night at the Aroha Mountain Lodge. Greg the host was great, made us feel we were staying with family. Big kitchen made it easy for us - just like home! The town was interesting with some pretty good deals in the local antique furniture shops. It was a good base for going to visit Hobbiton (the...

We made Te Aroha our first stop after the flight in and drive from the airport. Greg made us very welcome, with lovely big en-suite room to 'crash' in. The Lodge has a very well equipped kitchen, where we were able to prepare our own food. Very comfortable and a great start to the holiday. Must do things: The spa...

We have stayed twice at the lodge and have enjoyed the old world charm and cosy rooms each time. Greg makes us feel welcome and we hear his breakfasts are pretty good too but we have not had those yet. The location at the entrance to the spa is great as that is why we visit the town. We'll be...
