The seaweed is pretty bad at the beach in front of Southern Palms right now. It hasn't been swimmable for several weeks. We have been traveling up to Carlisle Bay to swim and that's not quite walking distance, but it is a short car ride away. There are plenty of amenities there so it's a nice place to spend the day. The seaweed might go out with a change in current, so you might be ok by October.
