This place was beautiful, we had car problem and didn't arrive at the hotel til 2:00 am. They called me and gave me instructions how to check in. The service was excellent. Highly recommend it, if we will return to the Loire Valley definitely will stay at this place.

We visited the Loire Valley with friends, and spent the night near Amboise at the Chateau de la Bourdaisiere. Disappointing experience overall, we do not recommend this place if you are hoping to get a true "French château" night stay experience. We had reserved three rooms in advance based on the pictures on the website. First of all, although the...

We spent one night here in September, and enjoyed the experience. The huge room over the stable was dated and quirky, but charming. There was no shower, and the tub and floor were a bit grungy. As others have noted, getting up the rickety stairs to the room was a challenge. Definitely not luxury! Our meal in the pretty dining...

In the first room we stayed in we were warned at check in that the shower might leak a bit. Well, we took the shower and the bathroom was quickly filled with at least an inch of water throughout. When switched to a second room we found hundreds of dead flies on the window sill, peeling paint in the bathroom,...

What an amazing place. OK, I expected the beautiful chateau in the stunning setting. And then was pleasantly surprised by the extremely helpful and accommodating staff. But I had no idea of the amazing grounds: 650 varieties of tomatoes! Thousands of dahlias in full bloom. Acres of forests with amazing old growth trees. Perfectly groomed. Wow! We loved it!

Staying in the chateau was dreamy; it is an experience to savor. The staff was very helpful.Special thanks to our delightful breakfast server and his great suggestions for gardens to visit-the festival of gardens was amazing. It has its little quirks but quickly becomes part of the charm of staying in a chateau. The gardens are great for walking; all...

The Gardens are expansive. The grounds beautiful. 600 varieties of tomatoes, the Chateau features prominently in brochures and online. You are welcomed into one of the large rooms in the Chateau before you are taken to your room over The Stables. A separate building to the side. A narrow and tall staircase takes you upstairs (there are no lifts) and...

We travelled as a party of 6 and all very much enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. The property is beautiful and expansive. Rooms (in the Pavilion) were large and beds comfortable. Grounds are very nice and the gardens behind the pavilion are outstanding. Staff was effective and friendly during check-in/out but we cannot comment on the bar/meal service as...

We stayed at this hotel for one night in a Pavilion room (over the old stables). There is no elevator in this building, so you must climb many stairs to get up to the room. If you have large suitcases like we did, you might want to consider leaving them in the car and using a smaller bag for only...

Such a wonderful garden. I never knew there were so many varieties of tomato, over 600. It's not just tomatoes, the flowers are beautiful including dahlias and roses. The whole is blended together so there is not just one area for this and another area for that. It is also possible to visit the chateau, but unfortunately we could only...
