We stayed here after walking the Tomintoul Spur of the Speyside Way, a long trek from Ballindalloch through absolutely stunning countryside. Thankfully this B&B was on just about the first street we came to in this lovely village. We arrived in windy snowy conditions (in April - welcome to Scotland!!) and were met with a warm greeting from Mark who...

Beautiful views over the valley from the bathroom window, lovely hot power shower, comfy bed, super clean room that was lovingly decorated with lots of mirrors, hanging space and a dressing table and complimentary cakes on arrival - I think it's our all time favourite bnb experience. The bnb was also in a dark sky area so the stars were...

Stayed at the Glentorets for one night whilst working close by. The room was lovely with ensuite and the shower was excellent and not the normal trickle you come to expect when travelling. Tv and wifi was great. Full breakfast was just what the doctor ordered after a night in the local friendly pub. Mark and Val are lovely hosts...

Hard to imagine a more welcoming couple than Mark and Val - not to mention Basil the dog!** The relaxed atmosphere meant that we were happy to come and go to suit our own timetable. The room was clean and tidy, and the WiFi worked well. There's a small fridge in the room, which was handy for keeping lunch-box things...

We stayed for 3 nights in February with our two boys in the family room. Ideal for young families. Val and Mark were welcoming and relaxed about our noisy boys. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast. We picked this for convenience to the Lecht for skiing, however this would be a great base for exploring the beautiful Morayshire countryside.

A friendly welcome from Val and Mark. Comfortable double bed, clean modern en-suite. Milk and juice in fridge and welcome slices of home made cake. Excellent breakfast - especially Mark's porridge. Lots of Mark's bird photographs on the walls - showing us how it should be done! An enjoyable stay, we hope to return.

I used this place as a stopover on my last night in Scotland to be close to the airport and pack, but should have stayed longer. This B&B is superb - quick Internet, comfortable room and mattresses, friendly hosts and yummy breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Tomintoul itself is a nice village - off the more crowded touristy locations like...
