We stayed for two nights at Kinabalu Lodge. The lodge is beautifully decorated and it creates an amazing retreat ambience. Dining at the patio with the sound of fauna, enjoying the wonderful view of mount kinabalu just from the kitchen and throwback time with family at the fireplace, just to name a few of our great moment here. The Manager, Mr. Johar and Miss Shanty were very friendly to us and did a great job serving and checking on us. Asian delicacy served at Liwagu restaurant, is also something that we are going to miss. Overall, simply worth it. Bye Apai73
Sutera Sanctuary Lodges is a luxurious slice of island life. Facilities are good & the beach is stunning. The hotel has its own private stretch of beach so you dint get overwhelmed by the daytrippers. Onece they leave at about 3pm you have the place to yourself & fellow guests. Excellent snorkelling conditions in the shallows We were delayed an hour getting to the Island by a problem with the Hotel boat, but on arrival we received a heartfelt apology & were upgraded to a Villa. Great Service.
After a fairly dismal stay in Sandakan, we drove to Poring Hot Springs with low expectations. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and comfortable, nice outlook with large windows and they deliver room service dinner or lunch on a back of a four-wheel drive! It’s a perfect place for families or a large group. Breakfast was nice and about a 10 minute walk away in the national park itself. We chose to drive down the hill as walking back up with 3 kids in tow wasn’t going to be easy in the heat. Service was very friendly and…
I stayed at liwagu suite and had a comfortable night before climbing mt Kinabalu. the dormitory up in palabalan is also nice given that you have your own bed to sleep. Wish they could do something in providing hot water for guests, drinking and bathing, by installing more solar panels. After all, they charge foreigners a double of the locals!
I have unpleasant experience with your counter staff. As she asked me to write my comments, here I am. We didn’t have a good check-in n the checkout was just unpleasant as well. While compliments to the service staff helping us with broken TV, etc.. your counter staff left us wi a bad taste after paying such a high price fr a basic n badly needed upgrading rooms and toilets. Our issues as follows: 1. Dispute over breakfast included. Your counter staff said only 2 breakfast is shown although room is booked for 4 over Agoda. We were stuck for a while as your counter staff is debating through and fro it’s only breakfast for two.. after we re-iterated over and over and even shows the Agoda booking details.. room for 4 and it specially says breakfast included.. only then the…
