We stayed at the Kinabalu Park, Peak Lodge for a night. While the staff is courteous, it is the property itself that I have issues with. Main door lock was on its last legs and we were almost scared to leave our belongings & passports behind (also because there was no locker in this chalet)...While it does get cold and windy, they did not provide mosquito repellent by default (a must in a forest area like this). I had to ask for it and was told after a wait of 20-25 minutes that they were all out of it. When I made a fuss about it they sent me one room repellent (the chalet has 2 bedrooms and a living room)! The selection of satellite tv channels was a poor one with no kids channels. Even the FIFA match had to be seen on a local channel feed. The hot water was more like

I came here to do some hiking , I stayed at Twin Rock dorm , the room is clean , comfortable , provided with water bottles and coffee, down side , no TV , no Wifi The breakfast was very good , Shanty from resort staff was very nice and helpful , she made sure I am happy with my stay, guided me into the trails that I would enjoy and helped get a low cost ride to KK . Saprina and Lynn at reception were very helpful , friendly and professional . I was very happy here and would come back again for sure

Stayed at this hotel as part of our tour and found it to be excellent, we were welcomed very well by the Management plus staff with a welcoming refreshing towel plus a drink. The lodges were basic but oh boy the view more than made up for the whole stay. Meals were excellent, good plentiful choices all piping hot. On our last night various staff came out to sing to the tour group, very emotional. Sorry to leave but had a great pic of Mount Kinababalu as a bag drop to treasure. THANK YOU FOR THE BREIF MEMORIES

The last time I visited Kinabalu Park was more than 10 years ago. I stayed at the Nepenthes lodge then. This time around, my family and I booked the Peak Lodge since the Nepenthes lodges were under renovation. The verdict: I really love this place! I have planned for a relaxing holiday - enjoy the cool weather, read my books amidst the peaceful surrounding, drink coffee and just stare at the amazing Mt. Kinabalu, and it was exactly what I got to experience throughout my 6 days there. The Peak Lodge was just perfect, directly facing Mt. Kinabalu. The living room was tastefully designed with a cosy feel to it, complete with a fireplace too! There are two lovely rooms and 1 bathroom. Actually, looking around, all the lodges inside this park are amazing, really worth it although
