After spending an unforgettable evening at the winery, we were lucky to find a free room in this unique guesthouse. The owners of the guesthouse are an incredible couple, they are very cheerful, friendly and ready to help if you need anything. They made us feel at home. A great place to sleep if you want to go on a hiking trip, spend a carefree evening at the winery or take a trip out of town. We hope to come back very soon!

I spent 3 nights in this wonderful house and although the circumstances of my trip were not so pleasant, I felt incredibly comfortable in the Baderhaus. This is mainly because the historic house and the rooms are charmingly decorated. Everything is clean and you can see from the furnishings that everything was designed with a lot of love. Every day I discovered something new that made me amazed and smile. The WiFi worked wonderfully and I was able to work without interruption. But none of this would have been possible without the incredibly friendly and empathetic hosts and staff. Thank you for everything! I will definitely be back!

First point is if you come by rail, have the taxi take you via the post office or you could get dumped in the lower street and have to haul everything up hill. This is not easy with big bags. It is a very easy 800m walk from the station - it is mostly flat, just go down the lane next to the post office.

The building is an old multi-story with narrow, steep stairs to most of the rooms. The rooms are nice - we checked 3 of them. If you get the choice of the two top floor ones, be aware the one to the right (low archway to the sleeping area) has a see-through bathroom.

Inge & Edmund are great hosts and very helpful. The breakfast is a great spread of local breads, meats and cheeses.

There is a supermarket (Billa) about 10 min walk away. If you go straight to the top of the square to the Rathaus (council building/town hall) & go right, just behind the Pankraz 1499 (drop in for a drink or 2, great people run it) is the Tourist Office. The ladies in here couldn't have been more helpful.

A lovely guesthouse right next to river in a small town.
The family were very friendly and we were given a charming room with a balcony.
The furnishings were eclectic and made a change from the ubiquitous hotel style and the large room was very comfortable. Under the guesthouse is a wonderful restaurant that serves excellent meals and overlooked the river. We sat on the balcony listening to music and drinking a glass and looking out at the distant hills. Very enjoyable

My wife and I stayed here as part of a cycling trip along the Mur for 1 night. Despite being totally soaked from a thunderstorm we got a wonderful welcome. Location is great next to river but also just off main square. The room was massive, I think there were 3 sofas. The room and hotel are full of ornaments and weird objects, it is full of character. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast really good, we got talking to another group of German cyclists over breakfast which was fun.

Gorgeous room with a river view. Our hosts were lovely and the stay was very enjoyable. Highly recommended. Parking available at the back of the hotel which Inge was happy to arrange. Breakfast was typical Austrian style with coffee and rolls. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated.

We stayed at Baderhaus for two nights. We made the room reservation two months prior to our arrival. They responded immediately to our inquiry and it was totally hassle free.
We were so amazed of the place when we arrived. The friendly owner Inge gave us a warm welcome. Every little thing in the hotel was unique and with a cozy atmosphere. It felt as if we were home. The moment we entered our room not only it smelled clean, but it was really clean especially the bathroom. We had the perfect view of the river. The only thing we could wish was the curtains should cover the window area when one wished total darkness.
We also got a chance to see almost all the rooms before we left. Individually designed rooms and very artistic. It was kind of you Inge.
The same experience we had when we dined at their restaurant. Uhmmm, our lamb was served very warm which we appreciated very much, but most of all it tasted like heaven. The service was superb. All in all it was like a hidden gem.
