The building is an old multi-story with narrow, steep stairs to most of the rooms. The rooms are nice - we checked 3 of them. If you get the choice of the two top floor ones, be aware the one to the right (low archway to the sleeping area) has a see-through bathroom.
Inge & Edmund are great hosts and very helpful. The breakfast is a great spread of local breads, meats and cheeses.
There is a supermarket (Billa) about 10 min walk away. If you go straight to the top of the square to the Rathaus (council building/town hall) & go right, just behind the Pankraz 1499 (drop in for a drink or 2, great people run it) is the Tourist Office. The ladies in here couldn't have been more helpful.
The family were very friendly and we were given a charming room with a balcony.
The furnishings were eclectic and made a change from the ubiquitous hotel style and the large room was very comfortable. Under the guesthouse is a wonderful restaurant that serves excellent meals and overlooked the river. We sat on the balcony listening to music and drinking a glass and looking out at the distant hills. Very enjoyable
We were so amazed of the place when we arrived. The friendly owner Inge gave us a warm welcome. Every little thing in the hotel was unique and with a cozy atmosphere. It felt as if we were home. The moment we entered our room not only it smelled clean, but it was really clean especially the bathroom. We had the perfect view of the river. The only thing we could wish was the curtains should cover the window area when one wished total darkness.
We also got a chance to see almost all the rooms before we left. Individually designed rooms and very artistic. It was kind of you Inge.
The same experience we had when we dined at their restaurant. Uhmmm, our lamb was served very warm which we appreciated very much, but most of all it tasted like heaven. The service was superb. All in all it was like a hidden gem.
