Location:
We decided to stay in this hotel during our trip to Sri Kembangan to attend a music festival which were held at Stadium Bukit Jalil. The stadium as well as the train station (which is right in front of the stadium) are only 15 mins drive away from the hotel.
Going anywhere within Sri Kembangan with a taxi will probably cost around RM10 from this hotel, but honestly, there are nothing much else to do in the area except for Mines Shopping Mall. Even looking for a place to eat around the hotel was such an adventure.
I must highlight also that all the taxi drivers that we used during our stay here did not know where Mangga Hotel is. Do keep the hotel's address and phone number with you at all times just in case your driver needs them.

Our room:
Bear in mind that we only needed a roof over our heads and a comfy bed to crash in. And Mangga provided us just that. The bathroom is clean, with bath soap and towels provided. We had the superior king (with windows) and though we find that the rooms are not very big, they aren't claustrophobic either (though I can't say the same for their tiny, sardine-can sized elevators). There is no minibar provided in the room, but they did leave 2 bottles of drinking water on the dressing table (which I presume should last throughout our 3-night stay there since they were not refilled at all).
My only qualm about the room is that we were only provided with one key-card which controls all the switches in the room. That means our room will be baking hot each time we return since we were not allowed to leave our cards in the room (and no, the system does not recognise other random cards either).

The hotel:
Checking in and out for us was quick (even though we had arrived the hotel pretty late at night - about 10ish). Sometimes, it may be difficult to hail a cab at the hotel so the boy at the reception can help you call for one when you need it urgently (e.g. when you need to go to the airport). There is a small (and I do mean "small") convenience store at the corner after the reception counter, but the goods are overpriced.

If you plan to stay in for sleep only then you have chosen the right hotel. The room is small as well as the bed size. You may hear noises(esp children) outside the room. Remember to bring extra toiletries as the hotel only provide basic necessities(soap, water heater, towel, drinking water). Restaurants/Food court are not in the area so assure to have your own transportation. You need to drive further to find one. Public parking are available. Overall the staffs are helpful.

Were in town for a music festival. Chose this location because of the proximity. Otherwise, I would have never considered this place. It is quite secluded, there are not much stuff in the area, everywhere you go requires you to travel by car.
There is a 7-11 and mini mart across the road and another 3-5mins walk. There are several restaurant as well for the residents, but nothing fantastic. Taxi drivers driving in from KL ALWAYS gets lost.
Service was good, front reception was helpful but everything requires money.
Wanted to book a taxi to bukit bintang and it cost 100 ringgit which is a daylight robbery when I used "MyTeksi" app to book, with the meter it only costed me 30ringgit MAX to go to bukit bintang.
Wanted to use their phone to use their phone to call local number for food delivery, they had to charge me 1 ringgit per minute. freaking ridiculous, I wasn't even making an overseas call.
They do sell cup noodles, drinks and chips but IT IS SO EXPENSIVE. so stock up before u go.
There is NO fridge. NO ice. no nothing. Everything is about money money money and money.

But room was ok, everything else was fine.

The room and the whole building is very clean, there is a good restaurant named Highway Cafe on the opposite road (5 mins walking, nearby Maybank, there is some chinese restaurants and mamak there). There is a mini mart inside the hotel to sell food, drinks and basic needs. A lots of parking spaces and they planted some lovely sunflowers behind the building. Staffs are friendly and they have security guard at night. Room is smaller than the picture but acceptable. Convenient and value for money.

Went here for a business trip following a friend.

Check in was a breeze coz i discover u can rent it by the hour.

Room was tiny. Shower head broke. Water murky brown.

Tv was not watchable coz it was very unclear and static.

Nothing surrounding the hotel so if ur hungry u either call McD or they sell cup noodles.

Bed was hard and the pillow was super soft. Woke up with a strain neck.

No mini fridge. The lock on the door was broken.

I think the only nice thing about the hotel was the friendly bangladesh reception who spoke fluent malay.

I have no other choice as I arrived very late and wish to locate a good but small hotel near by to my appointment area for my business trip. I drove from penang and just wanted to have a good rest in the night.
once I enter the room and it was filled with kind of low grade cigar smells and it just stay there no matter how I tried to avoid it. the water in the bath room was cold and what more worst it just urinating on your head when I took the shower with pitiful of small volume of water coming out from the above to break shower head... you hardly can call it a shower...
the bed linen is white so you can actually see many left behind spots like blood stains or yellowish spots although it had been wash and iron..
you have no mini bar or small fridge inside the room so if you want to drink water ..you have to walk out to the lobby and buy from the counter and it is expensive.
you can actually see a lot of young girls hanging around in the lobby after mid night and the receptionist is a bangradesh and can sell u anything if you ask...

We checked in quite late after 12am, easy find location and plenty of car parking. It's a small budget hotel but we were satisfied with services. Room's space was big enough for putting our stuff and moving around. If you plan for a short trip, highly recommended, you can't find any cheaper.

Travellers please read til the end. Overall a quite good hotel with quite polite and helpful staff. Room was spacious enough for me. Only few things am not satisfied.
1. Toilet door. The toilet door made by wood with sliding style. It is not able to shut tight or to be accurate, it is just something to cover the toilet. Privacy in toilet is really not protected. Most important if you are doing big business inside, the smell is easily go into the room.
2. Mineral water. Usually hotels do give 2 complementary water or some hotels have waster dispenser outside the room. Yea we can buy downstairs but sometime we are just too tired to walk down again especially for those who reach midnight. 2 bottles of drinking water doesn't cost much right?
3. Ants problem. I think sometime most of us tend to take some food or snacks or some drinks inside the room and I think this is unavoidable. However these food, snacks and drinks attract ants, lotssss of antsssss. I do not know how other hotel get rid of this problem but honestly this is the first time I encounter this problem after staying in over hundreds hotels. Then ants not only at the table with food but also on bed due to want to by pass to reach the food. If ants went into my ear, I will be in trouble.
Hope that these problems will be solved.
