I would like to thanked the staff for the hospitality in particular the portal staff. Thank you Zainal. Despite we check in late but we managed to check-in smoothly and slept well as the room was in order.
On December 22, 2020, I booked Philea Mines Beach Resort using Booking.com. However, I have trouble looking for it at night (around 11:00 pm). The surrounding of The Mines and its buildings were dark, and there was no street light as well. That place was just like an abandoned place, and it was filling with many stray dogs. That made the driving at night even worse. After wasting about 30 minutes searching around for the resort, I decided to cancel the booking. The Mines was like a dead place; that made me thinking that I was scammed by Philea Mines Beach Resort whenever I reached The Mines. On December 24, 2020, I contacted the Booking.com to request for a refund. Then, I was told by the Booking.com that the Philea Mines Beach Resort rejected the refund. After that, I made a call to the resort. The staff told me that their cancellation policy doesn’t allow them to make a refund to me. The cancellation policy is written as following: Note that if canceled, modified, or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. I was there searching for the Philea Mines Beach Resort for about 30 minutes, and I still couldn’t locate it. Then, how is it possible for me to show up in the first place. The Mines was in bad condition, and they wanted us to pay the price because we couldn’t locate the resort. Philea Mines Beach Resort staffs were bad at rectifying issue; they kept pushing the refund problem to Booking.com. Again, the Booking.com said the refund was disagreed by the resort. I am here to warn everyone not to book Philea Mines Beach Resort using Booking.com for holidays. Hope this would help all of you.…
Very near with Mines Shopping Centre just have a walk distance. Have an uptown night market at neighbouring area only. Check in time at 3.00pm and Check out time at 12.00pm. Just have a short time to enjoy the hotel facilities with the period of checkin and checkout. Pool have a XL size and good for children. Gym too small for a huge members in one time to workout and equipments are to old dated with the treadmill machine also spoiled and can not used. Hard to access from basement parking with luggages to Lobby by use a ladder.
In my line of work I've been to a decent amount of hotels ranging between 3 to 5 stars. I personally rate this hotel 0 star. Where do I even begin; No shelter between the basement car park to hotel (I melted in the rain) When I arrived at 630am in the hotel, most of the lights were out and there wasn't any staff at sight (I though this place was haunted) The staff were extremely slow to check in and there obviously lack of staff. (This explain the pricing) Room is extremely outdated and ants were everywhere. (I though I'm living outdoors) Room in poor condition. Lights isn't working, water place in the fridge became frozen in the morning. I couldn't find a plug for the water heater. (Bath tub wasn't working, I was told by the maintenance worker that nothing can be done, ekkkk) The day I move in Friday 15th of November I notice the previous guest ordered room service and the tray of rubbish was there next to the door. I return to my room on the 17th of November at 330am and the tray of rubbish still next to my door. (I think they expect me to clear it for them - talk about self-service at a 4 STAR resort) The towel was paper thin and after every shower its so wet it can't be reused. (Talk about saving the earth, this hotel clearly doesn't support the cause) The night I try to order room service at 1130pm. Most of the drinks are sold out. (Their clearly supporters of grab delivery) The morning breakfast, the selection is so limited clearly fall below the number of fingers and my toes. (They expect you to eat early, their no warmers underneath the serving trays - good luck) The only plus point was that despite the close similarities to a haunted hotel this "resort" did not seems to have any complains of eerie incidents. (I google(d) and check but wasn't smart enough to read all it's review) Lesson learn you pay what you get...…
We like to Creative Meeting setup, known as Horse room. Beside the lake view, the evening is interesting with Avatar and photos taking spots. We had live grill dinner in the garden area, it was relaxing to Unwind after a long meeting session.
