We had booked two deluxe double rooms for 100£ per night each. The guesthouse is located right in the center of little Dufftown, next to a supermarket. The host was very friendly and gave us helpful advice. The rooms were spacious enough and decorated in a distinct style. However, the mattresses were very soft and the windows weren't properly keeping... More

We found the guest house easily, close to local restaurants with easy parking on street. Welcoming staff and warm environment. Bed and pillows werent the most comfortable but were clean. We had a standard room which was fairly small but was cosy. Breakfast was great-we just had the continental options. Would recommend this place as a nice short term stop.

I stayed in Dufftown to visit a few of my favorite local distilleries, and I couldn't have picked a better spot than Tannochbrae Guest House. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the breakfast in the morning was incredible. James, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would absolutely return.

We stayed here while doing a whiskey tour of Speyside and enjoyed the stay. My room was comfortable. The bathroom is pretty cramped. Breakfast was tasty. There is even an option to have a shot of whiskey in your porridge. We enjoyed a dinner with whiskey pairings one night and the food was delicious and gourmet in presentation. Afterwards we... More

I can highly recommend a stay at Tannochbrae Guest House. Warm welcome on arrival and shown round the Guest House to get to know your surroundings. A room to chill out in,another for a catch up and a chat about the day's activities. Whisky Bar is Quaint and lots of different verities of Malts. Our room so comfortable, clean, and cosy, and... Faultless stay, can't fault any part of our stay. We arrived early, after a phone call the owner came to meet us and check us in. He then arranged a taxi for us. Breakfast was very well cooked and there was a good selection. Evening meal was excellent, superbly cooked, best meal I've had in a while. The room was... More

We booked this as we were on a whisky tour of Scotland and the enticing advertisement offering a bar with 300 whiskys sounded brilliant. However, the small print unnoticed by us meant that the bar is resolutely closed on a Sunday. The checking in and out times are ridiculous: between 4.00 and 6pm which is late and very hard to... Hi, Its always a shame when guests don't fully enjoy their stay with us. We are a family run business that always aims to offer a great experience. Our room prices start from £80 & our larger rooms are more expensive and all our rooms are to 4 star level and never claim to be luxury. Im sorry that you... More

Dufftown's best most likely. Very well situated with a terrific host. The whiskey bar was amazing. The food excellent. The room lacked any body lotion or tissues but easy to replace that THe heat turned off directly after breakfast and quite cold.. Get a room in front as it has some light. Dark otherwise. Right next to a coop grocery.... More

If you are traveling through Dufftown and need a place to stay for the night, look no further than this place. The location is great, it is reasonably priced, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast is amazing. They also have a great selection of whiskies on the property and serve dinner at night, so you don't even need to... More

It is true to say that this ex Doctor’s house does have a generous measure of real period character and warmth ... That said however, it is a real shame that Alan - one of the management team - doesn’t aspire to a similar level with his customer service skills. We found that his attempts to handle us in a...
