You will not regret staying at this incredibly epic hotel. Manicou River is perfect for someone interested in doing something a little out of their comfort zone. The rooms are beautiful little wooden bungalows built into the hills of a lush rainforest, each suited with incredible views of Douglas Bay and Cabrits National Park. The hotel is not connected to...

I stayed here with my family for four nights and it was one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I've stayed. The staff at Manicou River were professional, friendly, and attentive and were able to provide us with the best care. The food here was amazing, as were the cocktails! The local guides that were recommended to us were...

Our last stay of 4 nights on Dominica and this establishment gets my vote for most professional from the ground staff to the host and hostess. Fantastic restaurant and staff. Great for organising local guides and in-house massages. Perfect scenery and beautifully appointed rooms. Really appreciate the good quality, natural and clean mosquito nets. Ecoluxury.

My husband and I visited Dominica to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary. Manicou River Resort was exactly what we wanted; we were able to enjoy the island in an eco-friendly way with lots of luxurious touches. We especially enjoyed the wonderful dinners and creative cocktails, made from locally sourced products. I loved the locally made bath products, and even purchased...

Marry an eco-lodge with a luxury boutique hotel, locate it in the Garden of Eden, on a hill overlooking the ocean …and you have Manicou River Resort on Dominica. We just returned from four days at Manicou River and the only unpleasantness we experienced was that we hated leaving. The views were breathtaking—from our room or from the bar and...

We stayed a week in April 2016. We loved the cottage which had everything we needed for a luxurious retreat in the nature, including an open wall and a view that must be one of the best views in Dominica. Kate and Patrick were excellent hosts who helped us plan meals and excursions and answered all our questions. Our best...

My husband and I visited Dominica for our honeymoon. We did not stay here, but went to dinner at the restaurant by recommendation of our guide. It was AMAZING! The view was spectacular and the food was by far the best we had on the island. They also have really interesting flavored rums that were very fun to try and...

It has been two weeks since we returned from our stay at Manicou and our hearts are still in Dominica! Many thanks to Kate, Patrick and staff who, not only provided wonderful, eco-friendly accommodations, but also arranged guided hikes and activities. Our cabin was both spacious and comfortable while affording us a fantastic view of Prince Rupert Bay, Cabrits National...

We just returned from Manicou. Can't say enough about the location, views, food and hosts. Rooms were everything promised - spacious, clean and open to all the natural beauty that is Dominica. Dinners were enjoyed with an incredible view of the Caribbean Sea and all the local flavours available - fish, veg, fruit, spice. Host Kate and Patrick attention to...

Our Manicou River stay was an experience to remember, and hopefully repeat. The accommodation is breathtaking - the cottages are very comfortable, completely off the grid and beautifully built from local material, with wonderful views over the Caribbean Sea and Cabrits National Park. Kate and Patrick are fantastic hosts, with a huge amount of knowledge of Dominica and the surrounding...
