What a joy to be shown by the friendly owner into an immaculate bedroom and full bathroom in this motel style pub. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast, and all meals, were cooked to order. We stayed while other family members used the on site camping field with their motor home.

I stayed at The Golden Fleece on route to a wedding. I cannot thank all the staff enough for being so accommodating and friendly. The rooms were beautifully modern but inkeeping with the surroundings. Spotlessly clean, lovely fluffy bath towels and everything in the room you need. Our room had windows in the ceiling meaning we went to sleep with...

The accommodation is set behind the pub, away from the road and is very quiet. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, the pub is fairly standard village fare in terms of décor but the staff are extremely nice and the Otter Ale was very well kept! When I visited the room was lacking a hair dryer...

We booked on internet, arrived to a very friendly welcome. To our delight we were shown to a annex , a very large bedroom , huge comfy bed, and even bigger bathroom, spotless ! . Breakfast was I have to say one , if not the best we have ever eaten, we decided on the strength of this to book...

Booked this almost by default as the nearest reasonably priced option to Lyme Regis (about a 15 minute drive) at a weekend but were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms and the very warm welcome. The 5 bedrooms are built in a seperate block behind the pub and are built and furnished to a very high quality. Lovely...

We stayed here for only one night but were very pleased with both the welcome and the accommodation. After a hectic day and arriving later than planned, we received an excellent welcome from owner, locals at the bar and the staff. A special mention and thanks are due to Janet, the barmaid/waitress, who was very patient, kind and cheerful, efficient...

This is an exceptionally friendly family run restaurant. Although it has a bar this is primarily a restaurant. Sunday lunch was as usual a special deal. However, there was a wide choice of starters, main courses and puddings. We were a large party so inevitably service was not as fast as it would be for a table of two. Nevertheless...

We had a fantastic meal here, greeted with a smile from the owners and fantastic service throughout. I can't speak highly enough of the food and service at this restaurant. The bar had a couple of regulars who were all very friendly and a great atmosphere. The owners provide accommodation in a converted skittle alley, these all look very nice...

We could only stay at the Golden Fleece for one night but we are very glad that we did. The room was large, comfortable and very clean with parking outside the room. This place is a hidden gem in the middle of some lovely countryside. The food was excellent and there was a good choice at reasonable prices, very good...
