We visited this hotel last weekend for a 40th birthday celebration with our three children. The location is lovely and it would be beautiful by the lake when the sun is shining! It was lovely to see peacocks roaming around the grounds. The function room was spacious and the bar easily accessible. The food exceeded our expectations. The portion sizes...

Waitress came back after a while,, to say they had sold out and the replacement pie was ham, gammon and sausagemeat?.....we all passed on that one. The duck confit was overcooked and the cassoulet was undercooked ,The butter beans were not cooked at all .The waiteress apologised and they did not charge but...

We decided on Mothering Sunday morning to go out for lunch, but where, at such short notice?!. Although we had driven past Hornsbury Mill many times, we had never been there for a meal so rang to see if they had room for us. Even though they were fully booked they said they would squeeze us in. How glad we...

We stayed here as a family in a downstairs bedroom. The hotel had made up two foldaway beds for the kids. Room was simple but comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was really lovely! The gardens looked lovely although there is building work currently taking place.. But when that's finished, I'm...

Having passed through Chard without finding a parking place, happily came across Hornsbury Mill. Although only requiring coffees, the Mill is in a lovely setting, with a warm and comfortable lounge area. A good choice for any refreshment stop.

We were married here on 12th September 2014 and the whole experience was a joy from the first meeting to discuss the wedding to the wedding day itself and the stay in the simply huge Honeymoon suite. We had 52 guests but the venue can cope with a larger number if required. Everyone who came commented on the quality of...

Nice venue with pleasant and helpful staff. Food well cooked to your liking and presented beautifully. Good selection of drinks. Rooms have character and a 4 poster bed. Definitely would go back for seconds.

We had our wedding here in September of this year and would recommend to anyone. Spacious, comfortable rooms, beautiful food and surroundings and staff that just couldn`t do enough for us. A fantastic weekend and a hotel and staff that helped us to create the wedding of our dreams :)

Although my Husband has reviewed, I had to add my own comments. How often can you answer "Perfect" That's been my reply every time I am asked how our Daughters wedding went. From beginning to end it was faultless. Rachel is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for her. All the staff are attentive and again, nothing is too much...
