The room was very clean and cosy. Very nice bathroom, with a big open shower. Downstairs was the bathroom and a sofa located, and upstairs the bedroom. Watch out with the stairs, especially at night, this can be tricky :) My only complaint was the mattress. In the morning I had some lower back pain, so this could have been...

Everything was perfect, from the service to the room and ammenities. The breakfast was quite well and the mood in general was great. It is close to the downtown so you can walk through Coatepec without troubles.

My room was nice, with two full size beds, hot shower, flat screen TV, telephone, and living room. As with many colonial hotels, there are some gaps in the doors and windows so there can be a draft. Although there was air conditioning, there was no heater, but there were extra blankets. Sound travels up the central walk way and...

A nice hotel located in the center of Coatepec. The staff is pleasant and competent, the rooms are spacious and very pleasant. The excellent breakfast is cooked in front of you with a large selection of typical or classic dishes. I have not rated this hotel 5/5 because sometimes the hot water runs out ...

Super beautiful garden and cute room. Bed is upstairs loft type bathroom down. Not recommended for anyone with balance or stability issues. Stairs are tricky! Great breakfast! Had the omelette, and my wife had the chilaquiles Would stay again, loved the Coffee from this town!

a comfortable small hotel, staff friendly and helpful (no English), very nice location, secure parking across the street. Excellent breakfast. A number of rooms appear to have been recently renovated. Room lighting could have been better. We had no problems with cell service or internet (for email, probably not enough bandwidth for streaming), TV has CNN international. Evenings were cool...

Although this is a charming place based on an upper class home of many years ago, it has many drawbacks. No cellphone reception. Rooms are poorly lit, dreary if the sun is not shining brightly. Dark at night. Wifi reception is spotty all over the property The staff is prompt and courteous plus the made to order hot breakfast is...

I like it. I'm comfortable but it has some of the limits mid priced Mexican hotels converted from old private homes have. Lighting is quite low except for the bathroom which you might not notice in the daytime. I needed a power strip so I could plug in TV, phone, laptop and coffeemaker all at the same time. There is...

We stayed at Meson del Alferez for two nights in late January, 2015. It was very clean and comfortable. Our room, a suite, was large and well appointed. The internet worked great, the TV was a new flat-screen. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was in a beautiful room next to the street. All in all, a fine, unpretentious...

This is a lovely, quiet hotel a few blocks from the Zocalo. The rooms are very large with windows that open onto the lovely courtyard. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast that comes with the room is excellent. The bathroom is good with a superb shower of soft and hot water. There is secure parking across the street...
